Our summer farm break is over and we’re back at it this weekend with some special bloomies 💐🌸🌻 Lisianthus and pastel zinnias are taking center stage, accompanied by other fun late summer favorites - echinacea, marigold, cosmos, scabiosa and strawflower! We pride ourselves on growing unique flowers in a sustainable and regenerative way, so not only are they healthier for you, our practices also give back to the earth and surrounding native habitats 🌎 And you’re not finding these varieties in your grandma’s garden or at Trader Joe’s, just sayin 😉 All this makes them super extra special plus August-October is the height of the local flowers season!

We’ll be from 9-2 on Saturday 8/10, come visit us and experience the difference of local blooms!

This Saturday 6/15 we’re ! 🌸 And great news, we are still in the midst of our high season with lots of amazing blooms to offer — specialty peonies, foxglove, delphinium, nigella, feverfew, snapdragon, wild indigo, fragrant stock, sweet pea, iris, campanula, and of course our mixed bouquets! The farm takes a little haiatus after June so grab our flowers while you can 🥰🌿

The market is held on the Jesse Lee church lawn on Main St. in Ridgefield from 10am-2pm every other Saturday, it’s a great market featuring tons of local makers!

Thank you Ridgefield!! We had an awesome kick off to the 2024 season! It’s so hard for me to work these markets because I do a literal happy dance whenever someone buys our flowers 🫣🤣 I can’t tell you what it means that you are choosing locally grown blooms from our flower farm 🥹🫶 There are soooo many reasons to shop small + local but I know it’s not always easier so it really means the world when customers come out to support these markets! Honored to be selling among my fellow farms and artisans as well, every market we are doing has such an amazing line up each weekend!

We are back this weekend Saturday June 8 from 9-2 and then Ridgefield again Saturday June 15 10-2 — peony and ranunculus season are already running out of time so these two weekends will be your last chance to grab these beauties from us 🌸

If you’ve been here for a while you may already know my story of why and how I went from backyard cut flower garden to full blown flower farm, but if you haven’t I wanted to share the cliff notes version 🫶🌱

I’ve loved flowers for a long time, since I was a little girl gardening alongside my mom, and I’ve grown them myself as a hobby gardener for most of my adult life. I am self taught plus I’ve invested in several workshops on flower farming, garden design and floral design. But it wasn’t until I experienced a profound loss that I finally took the leap to turn my hobby and passion into a career. My second pregnancy ended in a late term loss in 2019 and one of the main ways I stayed afloat during that time was creating a business plan and starting to grow my flowers on a large scale. Distracting myself and keeping my hands busy was essential to my coping and I guess you can say I never stopped. Wild Iris is more than “a little flower business” to me, this is my love and passion and one of the ways I’ve decided to take care of my mental health as a mother. Supporting maternal mental health initiatives and the loss community will always be a core value of Wild Iris 💗

Which is why I’m excited to announce our second annual ✨Still Blooming Floral Workshop✨ a floral design workshop offered by and myself as a way for loss moms to come together and experience the healing powers of flower therapy even just for a couple of hours. If you or someone you know has experienced baby loss I am so sorry, it’s a club no one wants to be a part of but I’ve also met some of the best people I know through this “club.” If you are local we would love for you to join us on Sunday, April 28 in North Salem, all loss moms are welcome no matter the type of loss or when 🫶

I have been at a loss of words all week! Truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for our recent tuber sale.

The response was BEYOND, with dahlia orders flooding in from all corners of the country! I was in shock!! “Thank you” doesn’t even begin to express my gratitude for not only the orders but also the kind words, encouragement, and support we received.
