Give a hands up if you feel this too! 🙋🏼‍♀️

I swear I literally run on nervous energy. Which means I can either get a ton done. Or run in circles for hours and wonder where all the time went. 🤪

Once I hit my late 40s, my anxiety became worse and worse. So I started weekly therapy, went on meds, committed to working out and building my deeper friendships. 🧘🏻‍♀️

All that helped. But I still felt that like something deeper was going on. 😕

Then I heard the podcast about her late ADHD diagnosis, and a lightbulb went off!! (I’ll post a link in my Stories so you can listen.)💡

I advocated hard with my therapist and psychiatrist to get tested. They were resistant because I was “functioning so well.” But I wasn’t on the inside. And over time it was becoming unbearable. 😖

So I finally got tested. The results were off the charts!! I had severe ADHD. And I’ve been dealing with it my entire life. It explained so much about my childhood. As well as my experiences in school and my career. Most of all, why I started my own business. 🙂

I’ve since gone on medication and have done a lot of self reflection and education about how I can function best.

I see so many women in my life who are super talented, yet I can tell they also carry this heavy burden. They think they’re just scatter-brained. But help is available. 🙌

Coach Candace went all out on planning a glamping sleepover for the entire team to cap off their Summer Camp! ⭐️

We brought comfy teepee beds for all 22 cheerleaders and 2 coaches. Of course completely decked out it Blue & Gold team colors! 💙

It’s simple. Stop by the on Saturday, April 27th onsite at Northtown Pharmacy from 10am-2pm. Drop off your unused or expired medication. Upon your drop off, a team member will assist you in entering your name into the raffle.

⛈️ What happens if it Rains? ⛈️

You might be nervous to book a glamping party because of the chance of rain. DON’T BE. We’ve got you covered! ☔️

Here’s how Upcountry Camp handles inclement weather:

🔹 INDOOR SLEEPOVER — We may ask to unload our van from your garage. Other than that, we can go ahead with your event. No problem!

🔹 OUTDOOR SLEEPOVER — our 100% cotton tents are waterproof. They’ve made it through serious Deep South deluges and stayed perfectly dry on the inside. 🙌

So generally we can go ahead with your event. But if you’d prefer, we can keep the same date and switch your party to an indoor sleepover at no additional costs. Or we will work with you to find the next mutually convenient date.

🔹 OUTDOOR PICNIC — We’ll brainstorm alternative indoor locations with you. And reconfigure our picnic plan to fit the new space.

Or we’ll work with you to find the next mutually convenient date to get your party rescheduled as quickly as possible.

🩵 We’ll make sure your party is a success! 🩵

💛 Hattiesburg is a great Day Trip If you haven’t been to the Hub City in a while, it’s worth checking out! There are great restaurants with outdoor seating. We had brunch at @southbounddowntown and lunch at @soprobrewco Then spent a couple hours wandering through the @theluckyrabbit. So many eclectic finds and they have a rotating pop culture exhibit. It’s currently Taylor Swift’s Folklore Cabin! And you’ve gotta walk through the @hattiesburgpocketmuseum to see all their fun murals and tiny displays. Why we started

The idea for Upcountry Camp began in 2016, when our family was living in Kenya. We had four years of amazing safari adventures, surviving without modern conveniences like Target, and living with fascinating people from all over the world. As we moved back to the States we wanted the values of “experiences over material things” to stay with us.
