10 weeks after we started for preparing our home in Lennox, SD, we are finished. We signed the papers and tomorrow our house goes out on the market. It's been 25+ years and with help from friends and family members we turn the page on another chapter in our life. We have memories that we will cherish and thank you all so very much. Some have gone their way and some we will continue to stay in touch with. Either way we have been blessed. As we will be leaving here heading back to South Carolina, we are planning for future trips back here. Again thank you all who has made this a home and who made time to help us out to prepare the house for sale. Have a wonderful upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas. Deb & Larry

FRIDAY 🎉
I have been trying to get to my messages but something is going on with my Facebook messages. Going to try to figure it out. We are still working on getting the house emptied out and making the necessary repairs/upgrades that are required so we can get the house on the market. It's a very trying experience and I have realized that age or I'm not 25 any more sure makes everyday a trying day. Getting old isn't for sissies 😞. We are looking at next month on getting back but it is a day by day. Have a great day and a better weekend.

Just wanted to let you know what is going on. We have been contacted by some folks about what is going on and when will we be back. We have been challenged in working through multiple obstacles to fix, repair or replace defesiensecies in our house here in South Dakota. We are slowly working to make the corrective steps to repairs as recommended. It is painstakingly slow and expensive. Some of the repairs Deb and I are doing but the more extensive repairs are being done by the professionals and that means time in trying to get these repairs done quickly. As soon as we get these repairs done we will be heading back. We apologize for this extensive period of absence but we have to see this through. Deb and I hope that each of you are doing well and wish that you have a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you all soon. Stay safe and please remember to help each other out.

We all wish each of you a fantastic and safe holiday. As we celebrate our independence let us never forget that our freedom is never free and comes with a hefty price. We would like to send out a special thanks to all our armed forces that are not home celebrating today's festivities due to being deployed also to all the first responders who are out patrolling, the folks who are in the firehouse, hospitals and other areas but not at home. As we enter the election time for our countries president and other government positions may we vote wisely and vote those into office that would best serve our country and not our own personal agenda. We have made a decision due to heat and other factors that we are shutting down until September. For the folks that we have made arrangements prior to this decision we will fulfill our agreements and make sure that your catering event will happen without any problems. This week we will be open this Friday only. So if you are having a craving for some mouthwatering bbq please stop by. We will have all our menu items available and ready to serve you. Also all our desserts, lemon pound cake, peanut butter pound cake and our nanner nanner pudding. We are looking at shutting down for an extended period in the foreseeable future. We are working out the details right now. With the heat starting up so early this year it's just too much for me. It's looking like sometime in September we will be back up and operating. We still do not have time that we will be shutting down. Will continue operating as the weather allows. Will keep you informed here on our page. We hope that everyone made it through the weather last night. Please help each other out especially when disasters happen. Have a good day.

We would like to send out a great big congratulations 🎉 to Briggs Motorsports and to Matt Briggs for this past weekend win. The Briggs family is a force to be reckoned with out there at the Florence race track. Also we are planning on being back on the lot next to the Lebanon Quick Stop this Thursday and Friday. We have had a busy and reflective couple of weeks. Friends and family as always need to be on the top of all what we do. Thanks to everyone for your support, prayers and understanding. Just wanted to let everyone know that Aunt Jewell who was married to Shorty Varner who was from the Lebanon community, who at one time ran and operated the store in Ridgeville passed away Friday. Her funeral will be Wednesday at the Ridgeville Methodist Church. Our bbq hash recipe was given to us from Aunt Jewell. She will be truly missed.

Hopefully you are having a good start to your day. We will be on the lot next to the Lebanon Quick Stop today around noon and hopefully the weather will cooperate. If you are in need of a Memorial Day meal please stop by and allow us to provide you some mouthwatering bbq and sides. Tomorrow and next week we will be closed. With the heat starting to get sweltering our hours and days of operation will reflect that. It's just becoming more difficult to operate in the heat. Having to revamp our operations this week that we will be open on Friday only this week and will be closed next week. We will have a limited menu due to only being open one day this week and being closed next week. We will not have lemon pound cake 🍰 and limited amount of bacon wrapped hotdogs. We'll have all our other Smok'n Meats ready to serve you. (Pull pork, Brisket and Ribs) Also all the mouthwatering sides. I know that a Tuesday is not a normal day that we send out a post but yesterday we developed a problem with the truck and have it in the shop for a diagnosis and repairs. Not sure on the status of time required for repairs but just a heads up in case we will not be able to open this week. Also next week we will be closed. Always something to cope with or deal with. Hope that this morning is going good for you. Today we will be at the lot next to the Lebanon Quick Stop at noon. Tomorrow we will be closed and next week we will be open. The following week we will be closed. With the summer approaches and temperatures start to raise our days of operation will be changing. With heat rising it has become an issue for us in the food trailer dealing with the excessive heat. Normally the temperature inside the trailer is as much as 20 degrees hotter than what it actually is outside. We are having increased issues with this higher temperatures 🌡️. We apologize for this and appreciate your understanding but really need to stay safe. Have a great weekend and as we approach the Memorial Day please let us remember that those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, and let us pay our respects for the ultimate sacrifice they had done.
