~ Wind gusts up to 70mph, flash flooding, and a tornado or two are on the table today. - George

Just in:
~ As expected the slight risk for severe (2/5) has been expanded to include almost all of Kentucky. Interestingly, the SPC mentioned in their breakdown a level 3/5 risk may need to be added, depending on the evolution of the atmosphere in the afternoon. Thursday (today) has the potential to be the most severe round yet. Main time frame for storms is 2-9pm ET - George

Same risks, same time tomorrow. This is the current SPC outlook but I think it's more than reasonable to expect the 2/5 risk to expand more into Central Kentucky. Their next update will be overnight. I will post it then! - George

~ Alert Day issued for Monday. Repeated rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, quick spin-ups, and torrential rainfall. After that, a MCS style of storms will push through during he overnight, presenting an additional risk of severe weather. A long 36 hours, begins Monday. - George

Here is why we all say it's so important to wear light & loose-fitting clothing along with picking lighter colors!

All shirts started at around 70°F and as a result of only being in direct sunlight for an hour and a half temps quickly rocketed!
