Just like any sport, you have to take the good with the bad.

I’ve been contemplating this post all night and we won’t hide from it.

We are not happy with how we ran last night. Joe was fighting hard for 1st and unintentionally spun the 1st place car out. Thats not how we like to race and he has privately apologized to that driver expressing that. We like a good competition/race and he was giving us one.

We are off next weekend and we will see where we end up the weekend of the 27th.

Another great night of racing for the Huber’s.

Joe and Cole each won their heat race, putting them both out front to start the feature.

Joe won his first feature of the season in the new car, with Cole glued to his back bumper and Jeff right behind him.

Holy man!! What a race!!

Joe and Cole started the race together again tonight. Joe lead most of the race with Cole right on his tail. With 1 to go, Cole passed his dad up and won the race.

To say we are proud is an understatement!!!

The Huber men had a good night of racing!

Joe started last in his heat (bc I pulled him a 50 😬) and won his heat.
Cole pulled an 11 for his heat race and won his as well.

This put both father and son on the poll to start the race! I was truly an experience seeing them both run side by side!

Joe finished 3rd and Cole finished 6th in the feature.

Overall, not a bad first time for the Huber boys.

Cole and Joe shared a heat race. Both doing very well. Joe took first in his heat. Cole ended up running a b-main due to car count. He finished 2nd in his b-main.

Joe started on the pole with Jeff and Cole started 18th.

Joe finished 5th and Cole 10th.

It’s been a tough season for the 8H but you’ll have years like that. It’s all about how you handle the tough seasons that makes racing what it is. You learn, get better, hopefully improve for each race and season.

Last nights race for double points we finished 1st in our heat, which put us out front to start the feature. Two laps in we either blew the clutch or the transmission. Hopefully tear down this week to determine the issues. Congrats Josh on the win!

Our 8JR though, he’s getting it. Week after week, the improvements we’ve seen are awesome! He’s learning the track surface, how to handle the car and negotiate the turns. We are proud of him for his accomplishments this season, picking up a win last night as well.

Last night was the $2,500 to win SCDRA race at Marion Center. We had good qualifying lap times that put us in the top 10. Finished the heat race in 4th which put us in the feature. Started 14th in the feature with 25 cars and finished 8th. Congrats to Josh Frantz on the win!

Cole finished 2nd in his heat race and won his feature.

All in all, a good night for the 8H and 8JR!

Marion Center feature 6/3/23. It’s hard to see at times, it was a little dusty.

It was a rough night but we pulled off a decent finish.

We pulled a 6 and started on inside poll in the 3rd heat (26 cars tonight). Started 6th in the feature and took a spin into the infield and was sent to the back. We came back up to finish 5th. Just happy to be home with the car in one piece. Congrats Jeff on the win!

I’ve been slacking this year with keeping this page updated. Our race season intermingles with baseball season and we are crazy busy!!

Tonight we raced at Thunder Mountain. We pulled an 11 and started in the 2nd heat, finishing 1st. That put us on the outside poll to start the feature. We lead the race until we got tangled with a lap car, cutting a tire. We still finished 3rd. Congrats to Josh on the win!

Oh! We also have another racer in the family. Tonight our oldest boy jumped in the car and ran in the kids class, bringing home the trophy. Great job, Cole!

Thunder Mountain- May 5, 2023

We weren’t sure we were even going to make the track last night but with the help of our great race family we did! We are forever thankful for them and the help we can all provide one another in time of need.

We started 6th in the heat and took the checker to put us on the outside poll. It was a awesome feature with the top 3 battling it out. We took 2nd in the feature. Congrats to Shawn Hadden on the win! Joe Huber

Well our last race of the season didn’t end the way we had hoped.

We finished 2nd in the heat race, putting us inside row two for the feature. On the restart from the first caution we were pushed clear out over turn one, breaking something in the front end.

Don’t worry, it’s not a totally race free weekend. We will be sitting on the other side of the fence tonight at Dog Hollow, watching some of our favorite drivers!

It’s been a long weekend of racing for the Huber team.

We started Friday out at Hummingbird. Finished 2nd in our heat and 3rd in the feature.

Tonight we were at our home track, Marion Center. We finished 1st in our heat, re-drew a 6 and finished 2nd in the feature. Congrats Cory on the win.

Tomorrow, if it doesn’t rain (there’s like a 90% chance all day) we will be heading to Knox.

Long post, stick with us!

I didn’t get the chance to upload last nights video from Marion Center. It’s been a busy holiday weekend and we spent today with some family around the fire, eating good food!

Last night we finished first in our heat, which put us on the outside poll. If it weren’t for our oldest checking the axel, we would have never discovered our major oil leak! Without the help of our great race family, we would have never made the feature. We are forever grateful for the relationships we’ve forged through racing! We finished 3rd in the feature. Congrats to Adam Bails on the win!

Another good night of racing!

We finished 1st in our heat and started outside row 2 for the feature. Mike was able to hold us off through most of the race until Jeff came through and took us both for the win. We finished 3rd.

Well our night, similar to last week, did not go as planned. We had a great starting position and over drove it on the first lap, sending us back to about 8th. Two more laps and we were come down on, hard! Broke the right front tie rod end, the axel and mangled the door. Guess we know what we’re doing this week 🤦🏼‍♀️ Joe Huber

Tonight is the $2,500 to win SCDRA race at Marion Center Raceway. We did great in our heat, finishing 1st. We will start 4th in the feature!

There was a full field of 4 cly tonight at Marion’s Center!!

We started the heat towards the back of the pack and finished 3rd.

Started the feature in the middle of the pack. Narrowly missed getting tangled in the first caution but couldn’t avoid the second one, which ended our night. Joe Huber has some work to do this week to get it in tip-top shape for next weeks SCDRA $2,500 to win at Marion Center.

We had a tough night but we are happy with our finish tonight.

In the heat race, on lap two we lost a rear wheel bearing. Thankfully we had a spare and got it changed but it put us in the back of the pack for the feature. Joe Huber

We started on outside pole tonight, lead most of the race and blew a right front with 2 to go. Our girl Tondra Ann came in clutch though, right at the flag stand to win her first race!!! So happy to see someone in our race family pick up their first win!
