Deer Run Hay Co. & Cattle and I had a great time saying goodbye to summerโœŒ๐Ÿผand hello to fall ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ with these lovely ladies. We had two back to back Fluffy Cows and Flower Crowns workshops on Saturday and Sunday. The ambience, company and the cows were all perfect. Thanks to everyone who came out! And extra special thanks to Lindsey and Kit for hosting. I canโ€™t think of a more glorious venue for this event. Check out their socials to see whatโ€™s available at the farmstand. Good news, bad news.

The good: I got home from a short work trip yesterday and was so excited to see how fluffy the zinnias had gotten. They were not wrong about giving them time to mature to see them get like this. Rows and rows of petals. I have been cutting them too early for the last few years and missing out.

The bad: See those pink spots on the first couple pics? Itโ€™s Botrytis Cinerea. A fungus that could potentially decimate the whole plant. So these will all have to be cut down. Itโ€™s on the roses too. It do be like that sometimes.

Fun fact: In researching what was going on with my plants I learned that fungi have 2 stages of reproduction: sexual and asexual. The telemorphic/sexual (as opposed to anamorphic/asexual) stage of this same fungus is the very aptly named Botryotinia F**keliana. You can say that again!
