Congrats to the winner of our Mother's Day Giveaway contest!

Lana Hawkins received a beautiful all purple vase after being nominated by her grandaughter-in-law Emily Landis Morgan.

Emily says Lana is always putting others first, and never forgets to send a thoughtful card for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. She always includes a thoughtful handwritten message. Lana never misses the chance to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their school events, and even shows up early to get the best seat in the house. Lana has faced some health challenges over the past year but she keeps on persevering, and making other people's days bright.

Yes, our shop hours are 10 to 5 Monday thru Friday (and 10 to 2 Saturday!)

But, for the next 10 days, we will be there long before that, long after that, and even on our days off just to make sure the amazing women in your life are celebrated this Mother's Day. (Oh, and to make sure all your prom flowers are ready.... and don't forget funerals, birthdays, Nurse's week, Teacher Appreciation Day, anniversaries and everything else that happens next week, too!)

PLEASE order early. It helps us so much. (Did we mention we not only have fresh flowers, but also HOUSEPLANTS, SUCCULENTS, and more!?)

A tip from your local florist for Mother's Day (and every day!)

DO NOT ORDER FROM:
* websites claiming to be a "local florist" - you must verify that it is indeed the local florist's website. Ours is rittmanflorist.com Many order gathering companies (FTD, Teleflora, Ava's, 1800 Flowers) override search engines so that you are directed to their sites instead. Which leads me to my most important point!

When you order from FTD, Ruth's Roses, Teleflora, Ava's, From You Flowers, etc. you are NOT getting the most bang for your buck.

YOU NEED TO CALL THE FLORIST IN THE TOWN YOU'RE WANTING DELIVERY. Here is an example:

You google "florist in Rittman"
You may be directed to our website, or you may be very sneakily sent to From You Flowers.

You pick a beautiful $75 arrangement.

After tax and fees, you're at $90. Oh, that's going to be a SHOWSTOPPER, right?!

WRONG.

They take a HUGE fee out of that, send the order to our shop, and you're left with a $60 or so arrangement. Your local florist has less money to create your arrangement now, your recipient gets a smaller arrangement, and From You Flowers gets $30 just for clicking a button and forwarding the order to our shop anyway!

So, the moral of this story is: TO ORDER FLOWERS ANY TIME-

FIND YOUR LOCAL FLORIST AND MAKE SURE IT'S REALLY THEM and then:

1) Go directly to THEIR website and order
2) CALL them directly to order
3) Visit their shop!

If you need to send flowers out of town, use options 1 or 2 above. Please don't use these sending shops to send flowers. They are profiting, local florists are losing, and so are our amazing customers,

Do you have a special woman in your life who deserves celebrating this Mother's Day?

We would like to help you recognize her. We are hosting a Mother's Day bouquet giveaway this year.

Here's how to enter:

1) Write a nomination letter about the woman in your life who has been an excellent Mother figure. This can be your mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, co-worker- any woman who has shown the true meaning of love, support, and mentorship. *you can send the letter thru facebook messenger or drop it off at our shop at 12 South Main Street, Rittman. (Please include the nominee's name and address, as well as your full name and phone number)

2) Like and share our page.

3) Comment below when done!

All 3 steps must be completed to be entered.

*Deadline is Friday May 3rd. No late entries will be accepted as we need time to read each letter and choose a winner. The winner will receive a Mother's Day bouquet delivered to her during the week of May 6th.
** Nominees must reside in Wayne or Medina County for deliver purposes.
