That sounds like a fantastic event! The did an excellent job in hosting the back-to-school event at . It’s wonderful to see the Fisk University chapter members, especially Alum Laquesha Sanders, taking the lead in facilitating, motivating, and providing students with the resources they need to succeed. It shows the dedication and support within the University community. Yard Party ATL is honored to have hosted the event and welcomes the and Fisk University to consider it their Atlanta home. It’s great to see collaboration and community building happening between Fisk and other organizations. May these connections continue to foster growth and success for all involved! On March 8th 2010, I gave birth to a little girl 8 days shy of my 27th birthday (March 16th). I had no idea what life would be as I was so use to being on the go! If you knew me in my 20’s then you know I had every job/hustle under sun. Till this day I’m not one to sit idle so while I was pregnant I recorded a mixtape, and wrote a short film. Savannah’s due date was 3.30.2010. She came three weeks early unexpectedly. My water broke at 5am and my first reaction was to call my Mother who yelled “Don’t call me! Call the Doctor!” Lol! I was in labor for almost 12 hours. Savannah breaking my water and then deciding not to come out aligns with her personality to this day! People always assume that we’re alike. But not so much. While I’m on a 1,000, she’s very mellow & chill. Our birthday this year was a huge milestone. Savannah is a teenager & I’m 40 ! Life has been very good to us and we are forever grateful for the lessons & blessings. Thank you all for the birthday love ❤️ We love you all and wish every Mother & Child(ren) the same love & joy we share with one another. Until next March 💋
