Happy Friday to us! Another mystery stick bloomed!!

What’s crazy is that we bought it at the USF spring fest on 4/12/25 as an unrooted stick with fresh buds in a 4 stick “mystery bundle”. We planted it the next day and they bloomed less than 2 weeks later.

Ever feel like you got your life together and then you lose a plant among your other plants. This one was very aptly named!!Homalomena camouflage bouncing back from a surplus of plant love so thick that she was lost in the green for a bit. I think she can come back strong, don’t you? 😅😅😅

Purple GARLIC flowers?!? Yep! These are the blooms of a Japanese garlic chive called Nira. My grandma used it in her cooking (it’s great in gyoza) so the taste is always nostalgic and worth sharing! Nira is also very drought tolerant and loves full sun. The little flowers really do smell like garlic! They’re delicate enough to pinch off and light enough to nibble on right off the plant 😋I don’t really carry herbs but let me know if you’re interested, I’d be happy to bring them to an event or meet up 🥰
