With great sadness, we lost one of our club's founding members, Vance Wood Vance Wood yesterday. Vance was a mentor to many, a friend, a master of his craft. Always outspoken, unfiltered, funny, and dedicated to his craft and the art of Bonsai. Thank you for all you've done to promote the art of bonsai. You will be missed.

We're absolutely delighted to announce that one of our Azalea Bonsai trees secured the "Best Special Exhibit" award at the recent US National Bonsai Exhibition!

Our team of dedicated bonsai experts pours their hearts into nurturing these tiny trees, and it's incredibly gratifying to witness their meticulous work recognized on such a grand stage.

This little Azalea will return from its tour of New York tomorrow and will be back for visiting by this weekend. We invite you to come check it out - we are free to visit (with a small parking fee).

Rick sent this picture to boost your enthusiasm for the tree you may now have. He trimmed and wired his forrest planting and sent this photo. If you have questions he would be happy to answer them.
Also he added, One important thing I failed to mention on Sunday was to treat the styling as 1/2 way between a conifer and a tropical. A little of each applies to cedars.

Our next meeting Sunday October 24th at 1:00 will be bring your own tree to work on, seek advice, or just to show off something you’ve been working on. We will also be having a beginners workshop so if you’re new to bonsai or looking to start this is a perfect workshop for you. Learn from our experienced members how to start your own bonsai. Space is very limited. Please send us a message if you’re interested!

Also we’re looking for your input on what you would like to see from the club next year. We will be creating a calendar for next year and and want to take your ideas or expectations into consideration. If you have ideas please share them with us at the meeting. The meeting will be held at Bordines all the way in the back. Looking forward to seeing you all there
