Claire Emerson is 2 months old (yesterday!)! She's as sweet as can be, unless she's hungry...and then, you should leave the room because what you're about to hear is going to shatter your ear drums. She has started smiling and giggling at us and I'm still her favorite person. She's an incredible sleeper and just such a little love. She loves puppy kisses and still has the sweetest cheeks! Also, swipe because Matilda wants everyone to know that she is also only 2 months old.

Today's the day! Happy Black Friday, everyone! The Flower subscription code for ALL our flower subscriptions is THANKFUL. While selecting your flowers, please read the section titled "Fine Print." You can reach out with any questions. The code is good for 20% off and every single flower is grown right here on our farm. Our code is good through Sunday at midnight! Thank you for supporting our small farm. We can't wait to see you in the Spring!
🌷Remember, we're giving away a Spring subscription to email subscribers. Head to our website EndressAcres.com to subscribe. Already purchased Spring flowers? Don't worry! If you're the winner, we'll refund your purchase.
🌷What to expect!? We guarantee at a minimum 15 flowers per bouquet. I generally do very little with "filler." We'll have tulips, peonies, ranunculuses, anemones, sunnies, lisianthus, zinnias (sooo many zinnias), snapdragons, statice, roses, and of course, the much coveted dahlias.
🌷 Every subscription runs for 4 weeks, with the exception of our dahlias. That subscription runs for 6!
🌷Your first bouquet always comes in a mason jar
🌷We are doing delivery only and will deliver 15 miles from our farm. If you're a little outside of that, please reach out.
🌷This makes an AMAZING Christmas gift!
🌷After a long, cold Michigan winter, there's nothing better than fresh blooms in your home. It's PROVEN that having flowers in your home is a mood booster!

Flower Friends! The time is *almost* here! We'll be releasing our 2025 Flower Subscriptions on Black Friday! If you're not subscribed to emails, NOW IS THE TIME. We'll be giving away 1 Spring subscription to an email subscriber! We've released all our subscriptions at once this year, too! This way, when we release the discount code, all products will be eligible! This is also our biggest discount code of the year, and it'll be released to our email subscribers first.
🌷All our flowers this year are delivery only. There was a small price increase to our subscriptions to account for this. Trust me, it's EASIER for YOU and me!
🌷Your first subscription comes in our classic mason jar. All subsequent bouquets are delivered via wrapped bundle. If you purchase one of each of the subscriptions, you'll have three mason jars
🌷 We planted 9,700 tulips this year, we have 200 more PEONIES to plant, and thousands of ranunculuses and anemones that will be direct planted this winter (hopefully, in our shiny, new high tunnel)!
🌷 I've already started purchasing new dahlia tubers for next year. I can guarantee you that we'll have some of the best blooms around!
🌷 We can only deliver in a 15 mile radius of our farm in Rochester, MI.
🌷 Want to buy as a gift for someone?! Say no more! We'll mail you a beautiful card for your special someone.
🌷 These would also be stunning for a business on a weekly basis!
🌷Winner of the free subscription will be announced early next week.
🌷 We'll be doing one more giveaway this week, too! It'll be for a hard to find tuber, so pay close attention if you're a dahlia lover!
🌷Last, but not least, we are SO excited to see you this year!

Anddddd that's a wrap on tulips! After days of planting, we have 3 16 foot beds FULL of the prettiest tulips you'll see this Spring. Swipe to see how Matilda feels about tulip planting. Wahoo! We're now onto peonies and forced tulips (wish me luck on this...it's our first time trying to force)! Keep an eye out for Spring Subscriptions this upcoming week to celebrate Black Friday and Small Business Saturday! We'll also be planning a couple giveaways! 🌷🌷🌷🌷

Another day, another (almost) 2,500 tulips. Planting tulips is deeply therapeutic for my type A brain. I love the neat rows and the uniformity of planting them. It also reminds me of my Grandmother, Sharon. For some strange reason seeing the tulips laid out like this reminds me of both her knitting and her quilting (arguably, she was the best at both). I'm nearing the tulip finish line and then...back to dividing dahlias!
🌷
Also, I swear I own more clothes than my trust bibs. Also, also, swipe to see Claire bear being the cutest matchy matchy helper. Her little bibs are a bit big, but her little shirt was 👌🏻👌🏻.

Spent yesterday afternoon with the start of our tulips for Spring. All 1,365 of the first batch are in! My "helpers" didn't do much, but they are enjoyable to work with! Friends, being a flower farmer is back breaking work. It's full of joy and beauty, but it's also HARD. It's some of the best work I get to do, but dang, fall is hard. Dahlias have to come out and be washed, divided, and stored and the Spring flowers (namely the tulips - ranunculus aren't going in until this winter. The mice/voles aren't getting me this year!) have to go in. I'll be so happy when these bulbs are in...oh, that reminds me...I have 200+ more peonies to plant. We really hope to see everyone in the Spring for subscriptions! This year we went for it and can't wait to see our property covered in flowers!
🌷
Also, please swipe for the cutest, little thumb sucker you'll ever see.

Cheers to the very best year, my guy. There's not a single other person on this earth that I would want to spend my days with. Once upon a time, Xavier lived in New York. He'd travel back to Michigan frequently and one of those times, I picked him up from the airport. On our way back to my apartment, we passed a very old and dilapidated farmhouse. Xavier said, "It would be great to own something like that and fix it up one day." All those years later, here we are with our very own farmhouse. It may occasionally be falling apart around us, but it's filled with more love and laughs than 8,000sqft can hold. Every single day I am so thankful. Thankful for the chaos, the dust, the dirty floors, and all the memories we've poured into this little piece of earth. Our relationship, much like our home, is the best thing I've ever poured myself into. There's no one I'd rather spend my days and nights dreamin' and schemin' with. I would pick our sometimes messy life over and over, without fail. Cheers to another million years taking the road less travelled and still being the only two that know where we're going. I love you forever and can't wait to raise this baby up to enjoy the ride right alongside us. May we forever remain a little wild and unconventional.

Another day, another dahlia photo! This one has 'orange globe' in it and this dahlia was a sure standout for me this year! Her blooms were stunning and nice and tall! I can't wait to grow her again next year! She's getting dug up today and hoping for excellent tuber production!

I haven't posted nearly enough dahlia content lately. This season was difficult, to say the least. Between pregnancy and newborning, it was hard to get out. Yesterday, I dug more dahlias and was overwhelmed by the immense joy I've been able to find in this little life of mine. This morning, while drinking too much coffee and snuggling Claire, I watched "Martha." As if she wasn't iconic enough, she dropped this lovely little nugget:

🌸If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, make a garden🌸

Cheers to continuing the great dig and finding joy in every tuber clump.

What's spookier than THREE Golden Retrievers under the age of 3!? A FOURTH! One of these isn't like the other...also, why won't these pups just look at the camera!? Also, also, Claire only worked up the courage to have one arm in and Xav literally crawled out of the attic for this picture 😂

In between welcoming a newborn and postpartum, we also had to harvest our first year of honey! As our friend, said, "It's really for the experience!" Our bees were happy, happy, happy all summer, but our second bee box was a little too new for them. We only got about 6 pounds of honey, which is roughly 11 smaller jars. It was such a great experience and we can't wait to see how our bees do next year! There's truly nothing better than raw, wildflower honey from your own flowers, on your own property.
🍯
Also, huge shoutout to our friend, Steve ! He was our honey Sherpa and we couldn't have done it without him: from checking boxes, helping us get bees, and then spinning our honey. Always thankful for what the flowers have brought into our lives! #🍯

Do I look haggard as hell? Yes. Are the dahlias (and almost all the annuals) cut down and ready to be dug? ALSO, YES. Big shoutout to grandma Shelby, , for affording me a few hours of garden work while my little toot snoozed away in the house. Now, to see how our tubers did. Last year, I wrapped all the dahlia tubers in Saran Wrap. I had some success, but I'm looking for a more efficient way to store this year. Hoping to test out a couple new methods AND host a dahlia sale of my confirmed varieties. Unfortunately, welcoming a baby during peak dahlia season didn't allow me to confirm all our varieties...which just means I'll have even more tubers for our farm this upcoming season!

Our little Claire Emerson is one month old today! Time has both flown by and gone incredibly slow. I get nothing done and yet, I'm incredibly grateful for this time filled with sweet snuggles and tantrums. Claire has been the sweetest addition to our family. She's a great sleeper, eater, and regrettably, a great pooper - I can only assume that her diapers rival that of a full grown man. She also once pooped on the floor, but I'm willing to overlook this because she's so cute. Still feels unreal to say, "I have a daughter," but I suppose that may never wear off. We love you, Claire. Cheers to one month on the outside. We love watching you grow 💕🌱💕🌱
