Fall Kickoff Sunday | September 8 | Following Third Service
Join us for Fall Kickoff Sunday. Following third service the party will begin with the Vikings game as the season kicks off. Feeling competitive? There will be a Bags tournament as well as the return of the Golden Boot. Enjoy a rootbeer float while you hang out with friends and bring a couple bucks if you would like to buy lunch. We will also have inflatables for the kids.

The 2024 Wanamingo National Night Out event will take place at the Wanamingo Fire Hall (96 Main Street) on August 6th from 5:00PM-7:00PM. There will be free hot dogs, pop, cookies, and chips for the public. Fire trucks will be staged for the hands-on viewing. The fire department will have a fire extinguisher training set up utilizing a real fire pit and real fire extinguishers. They will be instructing groups every 10 or 15 minutes, or when the group is has enough folks to participate. Goodhue County Deputies and members of the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office Posse will be in attendance and eager to visit with area community members. There will be kids fire-related freebies and a raffle drawing for youth prizes. The will be yard games available for ALL ages. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you Tuesday night 😃

Unfortunately, we are ok with a 1 star review.
We want to address this.
We would never just cancel an event, we will do everything we can to make it work and have never just “canceled”
However, we can not set up in rain or severe weather which was the case for this event. We communicated the whole time, and waited for updates or chances for rain to stop for as long as we could although no matter where we looked it was rain chances over the whole event time. Had we set up it would have put customers at risk with safety, put our equipment at risk for damage, and put our company at risk for increased exposure.
We are a small business and 1 star reviews have a negative impact on us, but at the end of the day we will not risk the safety of our customers in the event of rain or extreme weather for a party that can be rescheduled and we will continue to not set up in rain or extreme weather.
