Can we just chat about the sweetness between these two for a sec? This first black and white is my brother showing Maggie how perfectly their wedding rings fit together. You can feel her excitement, and it’s not because of the rings, it’s her excitement for my brother’s excitement. That’s just how they both are. They lean into each other. They get excited for each other. Not because they both are into the same things but because they love seeing each other inspired. Go get excited for someone else’s excitement!

Now let’s chat about Chris and his family and friends. He may be my “little” brother, but he’s so much more. He’s an amazingly talented musician, a local community hype man, and always in pursuit of bettering himself. We lost our dad last year and it was devastating not just for us but for Chris’ friend circle particularly. You see my dad was my brother’s wingman whether he liked it or not. He basically followed my brother to college, then to Europe living with him, partying with him, and therefore joining the friend’s circle. My dad befriended Rosy who in turn my brother and I have taken for our own. He has the best stories about my father’s antics. Chris’ friends not only tolerated the presence of Neal, they embraced him whole heartedly. I am forever grateful to them all for that. And no one tell my mother there’s a photo of her online.

A bit more about . She is very much the sister I never had. She is thoughtful and kind. Hilarious and easy going. Courageous and tenacious. And amazingly supportive of my brother’s wild ideas and big dreams. We share a love for our adhd. And truly believe it’s our super power. She comes from a big family (these are her 8 sisters and brothers). Her parents are amazingly supportive of each of their kids and each other and being around the family is an experience like no other. They totally bring the party wherever they go. My brother (and I in turn) are sooo very lucky to be able to call them family.

Once the party kicked off the love for these two flowed free. Some of you know my dad was a train engineer and as they were announced dear friends attempted to overpower the cheers with the sounds of train whistles. I cried so many tears this weekend. It was a party my dad would have been so proud of.
