Here is some of our team that worked audio and lighting at the 70th Annual KTTC Eagles Cancer Telethon and helped the organization to raise over $900k for research. This telethon is the oldest in the land and we're so proud to be a part of it with KTTC TV CTN Mobile Productions, and Eagles Cancer Telethon

Big Turn Music Fest is this weekend! If you're on the fence about attending and love animals, consider there are SEVENTEEN bands with an animal in their name. Walk on up and get your tickets at the Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing on Friday or Saturday.

Probably the only festival going that has TWO bands with "Sheep" names. Multiple dog, bird, and cat references, even clams and worms are represented here! 😼🦊🦉🪱🐙

Interesting day at Allendale Park for the forWARD Parks Concert Series with Rochester Civic Music. The big headline - very successful show with Them Coulee Boys and Clay Fulton & The Lost Forty

The behind the scenes stuff: The array speakers were hung from the truss when soundcheck began and the NWS pushed out high wind advisories for Rochester. Rain is miserable, extreme temperatures are a drag, but wind and lightning you never mess with. The pictured stage belongs to the city. It's a "Showmobile" type that gives a lot of sail area. The speakers hung from our truss also make for sail area with the added physics problem of possibly twisting or swaying against their tie downs in high wind. The NWS indicated it was possible we'd see speeds that would push the rated safety limits for the structures and shut down the event about the time it was scheduled to end. Frustrating!

It was time for a plan. Paul from Civic Music opened communication with NWS to get updates throughout the event. We brought an instrument to monitor wind speed on site in real time. Next, we removed our speakers from the truss, turned the arrays upside down on their frame and reconfigured the angles. Heavy sandbags over the frame held down the speakers with tie downs to the large subwoofers supporting them. Our EZ-Up shades got extra beefy leg weights and additional tie downs to prevent scary blow-aways. The bands and all staff on site were prepared to immediately clear the stage and bring the structure down if the wind approached our limits - which it fortunately never did at the site.

We provided skilled labor and gear for house audio, broadcast audio, and lighting at the Eagles 5th District Cancer Telethon. This was the *68th* annual. Nearly one million raised over 20 hours of live TV multi-stage adrenaline.

Good show to all of the acts, KTTC TV, CTN Mobile Productions, Mayo Civic Center, Eagles 5th District Cancer Telethon staff, and everyone who donated.

An annual meeting, a local musician's handiwork, lots of concrete and glass, a river. We added ultra bright lighting and synchronized cues to the mix and helped DMC - Destination Medical Center make their event come alive.
