Big news for Rochester’s own fivebyfive--featuring ECMS instructors Ken Luk and Marcy Bacon! Their latest album "Eclipse" debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Traditional Classical chart, right behind the legendary Yo-Yo Ma and Kathryn Stott.

Dedicated to amplifying underrepresented composers, fivebyfive’s "Eclipse" features music inspired by April’s total solar eclipse. And the good news doesn’t stop there — the group has received over $37,000 in grants to fuel their groundbreaking work.

Congratulations to this incredible ensemble for pushing boundaries and keeping contemporary classical music thriving!
