So, we've had two different couples in this weekend who said that their goal is to go on a date based on each letter of the alphabet before the end of the year.

So I decided to try and take an axe head off a broken handle in anticipation of replacing it soon. One broken needle nose pliers, and two ruined drill bits later, I managed to persuade the axe head off. Today, I learned several ways not to remove a broken handle from an axe head. So I guess I got that going for me. 😁

The new target design is proving to be highly effective. It is withstanding the increase in throwers exceptionally well. In contrast, our older design is not performing as well. To date, 3 out of 6 targets have been replaced with the new design.

Poplar target blocks will be available soon. While cottonwood is the most popular wood for axe throwing, poplar is a close second. Notably, cottonwood is not native to Western PA, whereas poplar is abundant. We have successfully sourced target wood locally, supporting small businesses in our area.
