Posted • The Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County is celebrating Black History Month by hosting a ROC Black-Owned Business Expo, on Thursday, February 20 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the library. BIPOC-owned (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) businesses and organizations are invited to make connections with patrons, network with fellow owners, highlight their products and services for the community, and sign up to participate as vendors. Please complete our vendor interest form (Link in Bio) by February 1 if you are interested in participating.

Join the Clean Slate New York coalition and its local partners to learn from policy experts, lawmakers, community leaders, and reentry advocates about the impact of the newly enacted Clean Slate sealing law, and about reentry services and resources available in the community.
Register advance through the QR Code or our Events Calendar (link in Bio) to have your criminal record reviewed at the event by legal professionals so that you can accurately understand your eligibility for sealing and/or other forms of legal relief.

Create one-of-a-kind wall art with fluid paint pouring using the ‘dirty cup pouring method’.

Watch a demonstration on all of the steps including pouring techniques. Then choose your colors and layer them in one cup (dirty cup) to start the magic of this art form. You will pour your own 8"x10" canvas masterpiece.

Sorry to cancel today's branch crawl due to unforeseen circumstances, and no one signed up for the event.

Since it is Summer, most library programs are happening during the day, which is not feasible for everyone, so let's start back up in September.

I will continue posting Rochester library activities on this page in the meantime.

Our third branch crawl will be at the Charlotte branch on Saturday, July 13th, at Noon. We will attend a floral terrarium workshop.
