What I love so much about this film is the PERSONALITY of it all. Kelsy & Kyle truly allowed me to get to know them, their families and their story. Their day was the perfect mix of fun, party vibes and sentimental, intentional family moments. Not to mention these two families were so EXCITED to be together. My thoughts on our wedding 2 years later:

+ LITERALLY do whatever YOU truly want, forget traditions that don’t fit

+ Something will go wrong, it’s inevitable but try to keep everything in check - the most important thing is you’re getting married!!

+ The Anniversary Cards placed at each guest table was truly one of the best things & we love getting to open one each year!

+ Spend the money on video & photos, they bring so much joy each year!

I wanted to put together a short film that captures the vibrancy, love, authenticity & pure uninhibited JOY I want for all of my couples on their wedding day. This is why you hire a videographer - no it’s not for the gorgeous shot of your decor (don’t get me wrong I love that too!) but there’s something about hearing your laugh on your wedding day, your baby cooing as you get your picture taken, & those moments you just couldn’t have even anticipated 💕

So stop second guessing & hire the videographer 🫶🏻 You can’t replay a moment if I wasn’t there filming 📸

Songs with all the right vibes supporting all types of love💓

Thought I’d switch things up & share with you some of my favorite songs for LGBTQ+ weddings. While all of these aren’t specifically meant for the community, I found these to all share the same vibe, some w/ gender neutrality, some being super inclusive and some written for the LGBTQ+ lovers 🌈✨

Hey Friends ✨

Today, I wanted to focus on using inclusive language in your business practices!

My biggest tip is to remember that not all couples are the same and what terms one couple might use another might not identify with! That’s why I highly recommend starting your convos & putting inclusive language in all business materials!

Note, that it’s okay to be upfront with your couple and ask “hey I want to make sure I’m serving you the best I can, what language do you best identify when talking about your wedding?”

Hope this helps you start using inclusive language in your business!
