PUPPETS! Port-A-Globe Mobile Puppet Theatre presents The Punch and Judy Show! You’ve heard of it—now see for yourself the most-famous puppet show in the English-speaking world starring the bumbling Mr. Punch and his (more sensible) wife Judy. In the course of their adventures, they tangle with a ghost, a skeleton, a crocodile escaped from the zoo, and several other characters. This show encourages everyone, especially young people, to shout out advice and warnings to the puppets as they see fit. The name of the game is to make you laugh. Looking to get a ticket for VOSH in person?
You can pick them up for 10 bucks at Medusa's on Monroe Avenue tomorrow October 1st or Wednesday October 2nd. On Thursday October 3rd you can get tickets at the door.
This is going to be an amazing event for Rochester. We are the second stop on their nationwide tour. Let's show them what the Rochester Goth crowd is like.
You will also hear original work by To See Beyond The Shadows our very own Rochester Goth Band. Come out and have some drinks, see some friends and dance!

I have had several messages today from people trying to pretend they are with Facebook saying my portrait it is a copyright infringement. This is a commissioned portrait that was done of me 8 years ago when we moved into this house. I have the rights to post this picture anywhere I want to because it belongs to me, and I was given permission to share it anywhere I want to. So scammers go away and stop trying to rip people off. It makes me so angry and it also makes me angry that I did not start getting these messages until I paid for an ad for my upcoming event.
Facebook do better and ban the scammers.

I am going to take Facebook off my phone for a few months so I will only be checking my page a couple of times a day from my computer. I have been having issues with too much scrolling and the anxiety that goes with it. I will still have my Facebook messenger on my phone so you can always message me. I am suffering with some major burn out and need a break. It is a time of taking my hands off and allowing the things I have worked to plant and water to grow and see what comes up. This will help me to see where I belong and what I need to walk away from.

Greetings! A very important announcement about the Rochester Vampire Ball.
WE ARE MOVING THE VAMPIRE BALL
Due to an overwhelming response and the fear that we would sell out and have to turn even one person away Flour City Station and ESSEX have worked together to make the Vampire ball accessible to everyone who would like to attend.
I want to thank Matt and his entire crew from Flour City for working with ESSEX to make this happen. Matt and his crew will be joining us at ESSEX. This is truly a collaboration of amazing people. Please read the updates on the event which I am attaching and pass this to everyone! I will be going back and fixing all my posts to have the correct address.

I have another special announcement in regard to a special guest at the vampire ball. Please welcome Christian Leon to our vampire ball. His film Love Bites will be projected onto the wall above the sound booth during the show. There will be information about this award-winning film provided as well, and Christian will be with us for the night. I am very happy to have him and his wife as our guests at the 5th anniversary Rochester Vampire Ball.

5-9 p.m.
Studio 41 at the Hungerford 1115 East Main Street (in the basement)
This collective shop has lots of amazing things you can check out for a possible outfit for the Vampire Ball. I am going to bring some things to sell also.

Friday night I will be at Vertex from 10 - Midnight. Come by and dance with me and get your tickets for the ball.

I took this picture outside the building I used to live in downtown. This is 111 on East right next to an old Gothic church which is across from the venue the Vampire Ball will be held at in just about 2 weeks. I never dreamed back then I would be doing things like holding a vampire ball that hundreds of people would come to. I am living what I was dreaming.

What should I wear to the 5th Anniversary Rochester Vampire Ball?

I know that many of you may be asking yourself that.
I have heard in the past that people did not come because they were worried, they did not have an outfit that was acceptable. Let me reassure you that I have something built into my dress code that allows everyone to be comfortable and come into this amazing event.
First and foremost, I want to stress that this is a Goth/Industrial/EBM dance night. If you are expecting a high couture event you are going to be disappointed. We are in an event space that easily could be a Goth bar and when we are done decorating it is going to be extra spooky and gothy.
Will there be amazing costumes? YES!
Will there be some real Vampires? Yes, but this is not a vampire exclusive event. Those vampire events are by invitation only and this is a public event that is a fundraiser for a scholarship. This is an opportunity for our community to come together and raise money in memory of our fallen sister.
So, let's talk about clothing options and I will start with the basic end of the spectrum. There is no requirement that you must wear a certain color but please read the following dress suggestions.
Remember that the costumes and the way we dress is what makes this an amazing event!
Black jeans, black pants or black sweatpants with a black band or concert Tshirt. Wear what you are comfortable in. I ask that you do not wear blue jeans or other colors of sweatpants. The only exception is blue jeans as part of a lost boy’s outfit and if so, you better have fangs boy! 😉 Just do not show up in blue jeans and a sports shirt.
Goth Wear – There are so many styles of goth people choose and all are welcome! Trad, Romantic, Cyber, Fe**sh, Hippy, Corp, Victorian, Emo, Gothabilly, Cabaret, Steampunk, Fairie, Tribal, Pastel… and many more.
Alternative – Punk? Werewolf? Lost Boy? Yes, Yes, Yes and I am hoping to hear the sound of some motorcycles roaring up at some point during the night and no werewolf’s lifting their legs inside the venue.
Creative costumes – Granny Goth loves costumes, and I will Squee like a happy bat if you come into the event in a creative costume. I do have to ask that no one come in blow up costumes. There are restrictions for venues about those costumes and it makes me sad because I love them but we have to follow the rules.
Formal wear – Want to wear a tuxedo and top hat? A fancy dress dripping with sparkles? Yes! I hope to see you at the Vampire ball.
Vampire Wear – This is the top of the tier and again this style is all over the place. Capes, gowns, headdresses, tuxedos, traditional vampires, modern vampires even vampire hunter outfits (we have called a truce for the night). Come dressed to impress.
There are a couple of places in town you can get some amazing stuff.
Please stop by Medusas for tickets and masks, accessories and some clothing. Watch for the video we will be making tonight about all the cool stuff they have.
Arlene’s costume shop has fangs and other costume pieces. You can even rent an entire Victorian outfit from Arlene’s.
