Little Women opens in just ONE month!

Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel comes to fresh life in this inventive, theatrical adaptation by Heather Chrisler which follows as the March sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy – gather in the family attic. From making up fairy stories, writing for their pretend newspaper, and playing make believe, they graduate to scenes of love, loss, and – for Jo – artistic self-discovery, as they come of age against the backdrop of the American Civil War.

Rachel Alderman returns to Rochester to direct this production after directing last season’s Dial M For Murder.

Little Women opens on Geva’s Wilson Stage February 25th and runs through March 23rd. For tickets and more info, visit GevaTheatre.org or call our Box Office at 585-232-4382.

We can not wait for audiences to experience Nina Simone: Four Women! Read the Director’s Note from Charlotte Brathwaite

“Nina Simone is embedded in the characters Peaches, Sarah, Sephronia,
Sweet Thing and Eunice, a celebration of Black womanhood, survivors of
American terrorism from slavery till today. The songs they sing remind lovers
of life and freedom not to shy from the fight, nor the yearning to be human
beings, but to lean fiercely arms locked into all that is life-affirming.”

Welcome Joseph Biagini, Geva’s new Production Manager!

Joseph is glad to be joining the Geva Theatre team. His practice as a theatre-maker has been a multi-disciplinary journey, informing his work as a line producer and production manager today. Most recently, he was the Associate Producer at Perseverance Theatre (Juneau & Anchorage, Alaska) 2019-24, where he was the project manager for their mainstage productions and a facilitator in new work development. He holds a love for the outdoors, love for dogs, and a B.A. in Theatre and Economics from The College of William & Mary.
