Just 4 days away from the 1st Sauk Valley Talent Competition Series - Thursday, May 30th - 6pm to 8pm at the RB&W District.
Judges for May 30th include: Suzy Perino from Sauk Valley Bank, Rollie Elder from Rock Falls Police Department in Rock Falls, Illinois, and we will have a fireman from the Rock Falls Fire Department! They will choose 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
You, the audience, will select crowd favorite!
So come cheer on your favorite!
Food vendors will be available from approximately 5pm to 8pm and include Brito's Grill, Sundae Funday , Culver's, and Eze FreeZe Treats.

This is a juried show and if approved, the fee is $60 for a 10’x10’ space. Payment is not due until you receive confirmation from Rock Falls Tourism that you were accepted.
May 30 - Deadline for application and submission entries.
June 17 – Letters of approval for entry will be emailed out.
July 19 – Payment due for approved entries. The application fee is nonrefundable once received.
August 24 - Art in the Park Outdoor Art Gallery 10 am to 5 pm.

Deadline to sign up is May 20th. :)

To be in the May 30th Sauk Valley Talent Competition, you only have a few days to get signed up and slots are filling up! May 20 is the deadline to sign up. Talent needs to be family-friendly and can consist of a dance routine, playing a musical instrument, singing, magic, comedy or anything of the like. Recommended length of your talent should be 3-5 minutes. We want to see you shine at the RB&W District! All ages welcome! Winners from May 30th and July 11th will go to the Finale on August 1st for a chance to win CASH!

CALLING ALL VENDORS - Come be a part of this popular event - Eats 'N' Beats at the District; Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3rd from 3 pm to 9:30 pm. We have food trucks, 3 Day Rain Band and Sterling-Rock Falls Jaycees fireworks! This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your business, home-based business, craft, or art.

Do you have a talent that you want to show off here this summer? Our Sauk Valley Talent Competition Series registration is open to all ages. All acts must be family-friendly! First show will be Thursday, May 30th; 2nd show Thursday, July 11, and finale will be Thursday, August 1.
Prizes to be won at the finale - 1st place $100.00; 2nd place $75.00; 3rd place $50 and crowd favorite $25.

Give us a thumbs up if you are coming tomorrow to the Eats 'N' Beats at the District; Independence Day Celebration (201 E. 2nd Street, Rock Falls)! In talking with a few of the food vendors today, they have been busy all week getting supplies and are ready for you, and the business vendors are all ready as well! Confirmation with the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile, Problem Child Band, and the Sterling-Rock Falls Jaycees for the fireworks are all good! So, we are ready to see each and every one of you, young and old, for this wonderful celebration of our nation's almost 247th birthday! See you Friday! 🌭

No personal fireworks will be permitted at the RB&W District at the Eats 'N' Beats at the District; Independence Day Celebration on June 30th due to the extremely dry conditions.
The Sterling-Rock Falls Jaycees will still be doing their fireworks display.

Just 19 days until our 1st Jammin' on the Rock 2023 for the season (June 1st 6-8pm)! This is our 3rd year for this event which keeps growing! This year besides the musicians, we have more food vendors and business/craft vendors too. Thanks to Mead's Bike Shop, the bicycles are in top shape and now available at the RB&W District to be rented out. Just download the Movatic app on your smartphone and follow instructions. You will need to use your credit card. Be sure when finished with your ride that you return the bike to the bike rack at the RB&W District and click end ride on your app. Be safe when riding!!

Rock River Jazz Band, Inc. is gearing up for four public performances on stage at the RB&W District in Rock Falls, located at 201 E 2nd Street. It will be a summer of fun! Special Big Bad concert on August 19th. Concerts are FREE. Dates to put on your calendar: July 15, August 19, September 2 (Art In The Park Sculpture Walk), and September 23.
