The cold temps have us craving all of the warm things. Starting the day out by roasting tomatoes, jalapeños, and poblanos for a big batch of Fire Roasted Salsa ready for snacking, Taco Tuesday, and to go in a batch of our Chicken Tortilla Soup.

The Southern Sow kitchen has been busy, busy filling Christmas Sweets orders: Sweet Potato Bundt Cake, Sweet Potato Layer Cake with Marshmallow Buttercream, Italian Cream Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, Browned Butter Pecan Cookies, Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies, Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies, and Snickerdoodle Cookies. Also not pictured: Pecan Pie in a Toasted Pecan Crust and Pumpkin Pie out the door this week!

We're firing up the pit [at least] one more time before Christmas and are offering whole smoked pork butts with 1 pint of one of our signature sauces for $50. Please get your orders in by this Thursday for pick-up this Saturday between 3 and 5 pm. Need sides or desserts to go alongside? Let us know and we'll be happy to discuss details!

Due to the potential for super windy and wet conditions this weekend, the BBQ cook-off originally scheduled for 10/1 has been moved to next Saturday, October 8th! Come out and support a great cause and enjoy some tasty barbecue, too! There will be auctions, raffles and games in addition to food, drinks, and music.
BBQ meal includes meat with 2 sides, drink, and dessert. Adults:$15, Kids -6-12: $10, Kids 5 and under: Free. We hope to see you next Saturday at Kings Landing Farm!
