🚨 BREAKING: Iowa Lawmakers Just Voted to Strip Transgender Iowans of Their Civil Rights

Today, the Iowa House and Senate passed a bill removing gender identity from the Iowa Civil Rights Act, a move that – if signed by Governor Kim Reynolds – would officially strip transgender and non-binary Iowans of critical protections against discrimination in housing, employment, education, public accommodations, credit practices, and more.

The legislation now heads to Governor Reynolds’ desk. We cannot let this bill be signed into law. We need YOU to take action:

🚨 ACTION NEEDED: Iowa LGBTQ+ Rights Under Threat 🚨

The Iowa House is considering a bill that would expand the ban on LGBTQ+ topics in schools from elementary grades all the way through high school—erasing LGBTQ+ identities from classrooms and silencing crucial conversations.

This harmful legislation sends a dangerous message: that LGBTQ+ students, families, and history don’t belong. We cannot stay silent.

Johnson to the countless activists, artists, and community leaders who continue to fight for equality, Black history is an essential part of our collective story.
