It has been awhile in the making, but today I can finally announce that The Healy Family will have a new event center in the Quad City area!! Healy Hollow will be a barn inspired event center. It is 10,000 sq ft on 15 acres. Healy Hollow is located in Taylor Ridge off Turkey Hollow road, it is 6 minutes from Bally’s, 12 minutes from the airport. Healy Hollow is by far the closest barn themed venue in the Quad Cities. It will have a bridal house for the brides and a groom room for the grooms. We have a lot of work to do, but we will be taking bookings starting Fall of 2024. Please like Healy hollow on Facebook and check out the website

We invite you to come smell our voodoo lilies! Once a year, the voodoo lily stinks up the entry to the Sun Garden, with a strong, rotten smell. Comparable to the smell of rotting flesh, this plant attracts flies to the flower to help pollinate it. We sometimes find a tree frog in the bloom too.

Two lilies are currently in bloom, with others blooming over the next few weeks. The blooms and smell are short lived, lasting only a few days.

If you need a sweeter smell after experiencing the voodoo lily, visit the chocolate orchid in the lobby or jasmine tree further into the Sun Garden.
