Rest assured - Opulence Event Center isn’t going anywhere! This change in building ownership won’t affect any events or operations. All celebrations will continue exactly as planned, with the same exceptional service and attention to detail you’ve come to expect from us.

Be sure to head over to that page to "like" and follow along our new catering + food truck journey.

Most of our followers are aware, but we (Tom and Matt Burtch) were the previous owners of Rockford Carry Out (RCO) and built a food business on respect, kindness and a commitment to excellence. We took a leap of faith and sold RCO to focus on the catering business. Burtch’s Barn to Table was born and the catering kitchen is now housed in our newly renovated barn on our family compound.

Have you been to the new chapel at the Mercer County Fairgrounds-Celina, Ohio? It is very, very nice!

We helped Brett & Stacy, and their awesome family, celebrate on Sunday.

They had a short, but beautiful, ceremony then enjoyed some food and fellowship!

We appreciated the Parkway Class of ‘79 have us setup food and beverage stations for their class reunion!

Chicken chunks, sausage bites, spinach artichoke dip & chips, along with meatballs were at the hot food station.

Fresh cut veggies & dip, fruit with homemade dip and cheese cubes & crackers were at the cold station.

Matt baked some cookies and Susie made a couple Texas sheet cakes to set out with brownie bites at the dessert station.

It was good to see some familiar faces and catch up with some fellow Parkway alum!

They are doing things we were not able to and we are grateful for them.

Congratulations to Alex Green for winning our give away! We at Ole’ 1820 want to express how grateful we are for the community and surrounding area for your support on our first day. A huge shout out to our staff (mainly high schoolers) for hitting the ground running and not giving up for a second! We are incredibly proud of them and thankful for their positivity and great work ethic! Let’s get down to the facts, you guys ate us dry. 🤣 We are so very grateful, we are trying to get a emergency food shipment but it won’t get here until Friday. Please take this into consideration when you make your next food order. We learned A LOT on this first day. We will be working on the kinks and getting consistency down. We truly hope we filled your bellies and made you a great product. See you in the morning!

Our friends are killing it at Ole' 1820! This club sandwich paired perfectly with Respect The Fuzz Peach Wheat.

Deutsch Essen is unable to make it tomorrow. But don't worry, Meats-A-Movin will be here on Sunday after the Rockford Makers Market!

Busy day at the new kitchen!

450 chicken 1/2 meals for the Rockford Fire Department Reverse Raffle fundraiser tonight.

Before that we have the Fox Family Ride for Autism event at Second Crossing Brew Co.

This is the tenth (and final) year for this awesome event. They have benefited so many families.

We will have chicken and pork meals for the participants to choose from. The food trailer will be out behind the brewery.

The weather is gonna be awesome for both these events. Lots going on in the small town of Rockford today!

We delivered meals to the football team after school. The young men were very polite and grateful.

Quick update

It has been an extremely emotional week for the people and students of Coldwater. We were honored to be part of their pre-game event tonight. Hundreds of people showed up. Principal Hemmelgarn did an amazing tribute to Cale. A truly wonderful young man who lit up whatever room he walked into. His huge presence and persona will live on thru his many close friends and his family. #70 will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Awesome night at Opulence Event Center, LLC for the ‘90’s event! Thanks Jon Hemmelgarn & Tara Fullenkamp for having us cater the meal! This is a wonderful place for many types of events. Stop by and check it out if you haven’t already.

We are excited about the “Hole lot of Resilience” event on April 15! We will be grilling 8 oz boneless, bbq, pork chops and including cheesy redskin potatoes and applesauce in the meals for $10. A portion of the proceeds from each meat sold with go to Doug and his team to help them recover from the devastating fire. To reserve meals give us a call or respond to this post. Meals can be picked up from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on April 15. Be kind. Be thankful. Make a difference.
