Anyone else wake up today and think SNAP I need flowers?! Ok maybe you didn’t think that but everyone needs a little beauty in their life and if you have kids in school…so do their teachers and bus drivers! Here in Rockford, tomorrow is the last day of school so if you haven’t gotten your special people something don’t you worry, the stand is out and stocked with $15 wrapped bouquets and $5 specialty tomato plants.

When I signed up to be a flower farmer, clearing snow off of the low tunnel in my pajamas at 8:00 pm on a Friday night was not what I had in mind.

Cutting vs. Tuber grown plants which one will make more/better tubers? We feel this question comes up all time time and hopefully this quick video helps to show you some of our results...sometimes they are the same!
We have found it can vary by variety but some, such as skipley moon glow and bracken rose do just as well from cuttings as tubers.
For those of you that have been following along with us you know that last year we started a crazy experiment taking fall cuttings from bracken rose.
Here are those same cuttings nearly a year later!
