Last Saturday was one of my favorites of the year. It was the Zeeland / Holland Truck Parade. It is always a fun event with kids activities, free ice cream and trucks. The parade is always on Labor Day so put it on your 2025 calendar.

The GrandCon Gaming Convention started today at DeVos Hall. I spent yesterday building an arch and a couple of columns. On Saturday I'll be twisting balloons from 1:30 - 3:30 P.M. Tuesday is Corner Bar Kid's Night! "the Balloon Guy" will be there from 5:30 - 7:30 P.M. Last week was the last of the Summer Concerts. So, now is the time to start looking forward to the Harvest Festival. That will be happening on the weekend of Sept. 28th.
This weekend in the GrandCon Gaming Convention at DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids. I'll be twisting balloons on Saturday from 1:30 - 3:30. If you are interested in gaming, that will be the place to be. Check it out at [email protected].

It has been a very busy Summer. But its not over yet. This weekend "the Balloon Guy" will be out and about. On Saturday I'll be up in Howard City for the Corn Roast. The event is at Ensley Park from Noon to 3:00 P.M. This is a fun picnic with music, bounce houses, face painting and food. Saturday night I'll be at Woodchip Campground.
Sunday is another busy day. I start in Saranac at St. Anthony's Church for their picnic and chicken dinner. Then I'm off to Third Nature Brewing Company in Rockford for their Family Day. I'll be doing a show and twisting balloons from 3:30 - 5:00 P.M.
Summer is coming to a close. Most of the kids will be going back to school. So get out there and enjoy what is left of the summer.

Sorry, but due to a glitch in my schedule, I won't be at the Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan Kid's Night tonight of the Blues Night. I'll be back next week. You can still go to the Corner Bar and get dinner, I just won't be there.
Thursday night I'll be at the Taste of East Event in East Grand Rapids from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
Friday I'll be in Downtown Greenville for the Danish Festival. I'll be twisting from 10:00 - noon.

Last Friday I twisted balloons at the Cannon Pool Summer Party. (Formally The Rockford Village Pool.) It was a great time.
That was just one of the many shows last week. I was also in Stanton, Mi for Old Fashion Days, The Corner Bar, The Rockford Blues Night, a Church Picnic at Algoma Baptist Church, Mill Creek Days in Comstock Park and Woodchip Campground. My fingers are tired.

Its Tuesday! That means its Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan Kid's Night. My favorite night of the week. I'll be there from 5:30 - 7:30. Its also Blues Night in Rockford. After the Corner Bar I'll be down by the river twisting balloons for the kids and listening to the blues.
Thursday night, starting around 6:30 P.M. I'll be in Holland for the Street Performing Series. This will be my last night for the summer, in Holland. The series goes on for a couple more weeks. But, this is my last week. Come down to Holland and check it out, you'll have a great time.
Last night the Zeelmania Event got rained out. So, they will be doing it next Monday. Bring the kids to Zeeland next Monday for a fun family outing. The fun starts at 6:00 P.M.
A big Thank You to the city of Freeport. I was at their Homecoming/ Car Show last weekend and had a great time. They had over 150 cars and a lot of kids.
The summer is quickly coming to an end. The kids will be going back to school. So, get out there with the family and enjoy what's left of the summer.

Last week I twisted balloons at the Ionia Free Fair. You never know who will show up to get a balloon. This is the Miss Michigan Homemaker of the Year. Superman, Spiderman and Wonder Woman were also there but, sorry, no pictures.

"the Balloon Guy" is out and about this week.
Tonight in Downtown Zeeland is the 3rd Zeelmania events. From 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. there will be lots of family friendly activities. I'll be there twisting balloons. Speaking of Zeeland, the Zeeland Car show last Saturday was huge! Over 300 cars!
Tuesday is Corner Bar and the Blues Night, in downtown Rockford.
Then this Thursday I'll be in Holland for their Street Performing Series. That starts at 6:30 P.M.
Throw in a couple of Daycare shows and a few private parties and I'll have a pretty busy week.

It was a busy week last week. The 4th of July week always is. For the last 27 years I've started the 4th at the Mountain Beach Neighborhood Parade. Then its off to Ferrysburg for their 4th of July Community Picnic. I also twisted balloons at the Canadian Lakes Summer Picnic. This year they had a great new band, "the Copy Katz". I also did a show. It was a fun afternoon.
This week I'll be in Zeeland tonight for the 2nd Zeelmania.
Tuesday is Corner Bar and Blues Night in Rockford.
Thursday I'll be in Hudsonville for Happenings on Harvey Street and Saturday I'll be back in Zeeland for a Car Show.
Come out and find me and get a balloon animal.

Happy 4th of July!
Go out and enjoy a parade, have a hot dog and see some fireworks.

"The Balloon Guy" is on the move again this week. Today I'll be in Allendale from 11:00 - 1:00 for a Community Party. The fun is happening at the Library. Then tonight I'll be back at Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan for Kid's Night. I missed last week and I'll be glad to be back. After Kid's Night, I'll be twisting at the Blues Night.
Thursday, I'll be in Downtown Holland for their Street Performing Night. I'll be at the corner with the Kilwinn's shop. If you've never been to the Holland Street Performing Night, I highly recommend it. There are musicians, jugglers, magicians and other performers doing their thing up and down 8th St. Its a great time for the whole family.
Friday, I'll be doing 2 shows and twisting balloons at the Montcalm County Fair in Greenville. I'll be there from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
If that wasn't enough, on Friday and Saturday from 7:00 - 10:00 P.M. I'll be appearing at the St. Patrick's Church Festival in Parnell.
But wait, that's not all. This weekend, in downtown Muskegon, its the Lakeshore Arts Festival. I'll be there Saturday and Sunday mornings twisting balloons for all the kids.
So gather up the family and get out and enjoy the summer and get a balloon animal.

Tonight is Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan Kid's Night. But, Sorry I won't be there tonight. I have another event I have to attend. I also won't be at the Rockford Blues Night. Please go to Rockford and have a great time without me.
Thursday I will be twisting balloons at the Bicentennial Park in Byron Center for their Community Movies in the Park. I'll be there from 7:00 - 8;30 P.M.

I love the summer! I have a very busy week with lots of public events. So come out and see me.
Tuesday afternoon I'll be at the Kent District Library on Michael St. in Wyoming from 3:00 - 4:30. Come get a balloon and a book.
Tuesday is also Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan Kid's Night, 5:30 - 7:30. And the Rockford Blues Nights start this week. I'll be there after the Corner Bar around 7:30. It happens in Rockford next to the river.
Thursday the Rockford Start of Summer Celebration starts. I'll be twisting balloons on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00. On Friday I'll be doing "the Balloon Guy" show at 4:00 P.M. followed by balloon twisting until 6:00. Then I'm off to Lincoln Pines Resort
Saturday, I start at the Alpha Family Charity Walk in Downtown Cedar Springs at 8:30 A.M. Then its a quick trip to Ionia for the Ionia Farm and Power Show at the Ionia Fair Grounds. I'll be there from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. It the place to be if you're in to classic tractors. Then it back to Woodchip Campground for my weekly visit.
Sunday is Father's day. I'll be back in Downtown Rockford for the last day of Start of Summer. I'll be twisting balloons for the kids from noon - 2:00.
There is also a couple of private parties this week. But the public isn't invited.
Sunday afternoon after 2:00 P.M. I'll be taking a nap.

"The Balloon Guy" at the Craft and Car Show in Greenville last weekend. The event was held at the Church of the Nazarene. They will be doing another one on Oct. 5th. So if you are into craft shows and cars put it on your calendar.

Well, its Memorial Day Weekend and "the Balloon Guy" will be out and about. Tonight, I'll be at Lincoln Pines Resort. I'll be there 1 Friday night each month through the summer. Saturday I'll be twisting balloons at the Old Fashion Days Festival in Fruitport, Mi. I'll be there from Noon to 3:00 P.M. at Pamona Park. This week, I'll be at Woodchip Campground on Sunday. I'll be doing a show and making balloon animals. There will also be ice cream sundaes. Then I also have a couple of private parties this weekend. I guess my busy season has started. I love this time of year!

Happy Tuesday! Its Corner Bar Kids Night! I'll be twisting tonight from 5:30 - 7:30 at Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan.
This Saturday I'll be at a really fun event, also in downtown Rockford. Its Cinco de Mayo. I'll be in front of F'n K Tacos from
2:30 - 4:30 P.M. F'n K Tacos hosted this event last year and it was a blast. There will be music, games, food and lots of fun. The event goes all day but I'll only be there for 2 hours.
Saturday, I also start my summer at Woodchip Campground. I'll be there every weekend through the summer. If you are into camping, check them out. Its a great place to spend some time with the family.
I also want to thank Walden Green Montessori in Spring Lake. I twisted balloons at their School Auction last weekend and had a really good time.
And Happy Birthday to Isla who turned 3 on Sunday. Her party was a lot of fun!

Tuesday is Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan Kid's Night. It my favorite night of the week. "the Balloon Guy" will be twisting balloons for all the kids, and some of the grown up kids, from 5:30 - 7:30 tonight.
This Saturday is the Opening Day for Little League in Byron Center. "the Balloon Guy will be there. From Noon to 3:0 P.M. I'll be twisting balloons with my friends from Woodchip Campground at Whistle Stop Park in B.C.
I also want to say Thank You to all the kids at East Oakview School for keeping me busy at their School Carnival last Saturday. It was a blast.
And finally, Happy Birthday to Emma. Her Birthday was Sunday and I had a great time at her 3rd Birthday Party.

"the Balloon Guy" took a little road trip yesterday. I went up to White Cloud. I did a show for the White Cloud Community Library. It is Spring Break and the library wanted an extra special show for the kids who didn't go to Florida. I had a good crowd and had a lot of fun.

Last Friday was Dewey's 100th Birthday. I had the pleasure of doing the balloon decorations for his party. Its not often I get to meet a 100 year old Navy Vet. from WW2. He is a great guy and his party was a lot of fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEWEY!
