The key to full, swoon-worthy plants starts at the roots with proper watering. Follow the tips below to keep your plants well-hydrated this season.

- Ensure your pots have a drainage hole to prevent over-watering.
- Water in the morning instead of in the evenings.
- Touch the soil 1 inch below the surface. If it is dry to the touch, water your plants. Otherwise, check again tomorrow.
- Water the entire root zone thoroughly by watering until water comes out of the drainage hole.
- Water at the base of the plant (do not shower the foliage).

Here are 3 simple tips to make your yard or garden a welcoming habitat for our tiny helpers:

1. Plant a pollinator garden! Choose a mix of pollinator-friendly plants that flower from early spring to late fall.
2. Provide water sources. A shallow bird bath or fountain gives pollinators a place to drink and rest. Be sure to include some rocks or stones so they have a safe place to perch!
3. Provide safe habitats. Pollinators need shelter from weather and places to nest, feed larvae, and overwinter. Leave some areas of soil, leaf litter, unmowed grasses, brush piles, hollow dried plant stems or bee boxes.

Supertunia® Petunias by Proven Winners will provide you a large plant full of blooms from planting to frost. They require very little maintenance, such as no deadheading. Here are some tips to keeping them looking great all season.
1. Be sure to plant them where they will receive 6 or more hours of sun.
2. Be consistent with watering. Whether you give them a little more water or a little less, they will perform best if you keep it consistent.
3. Fertilizer is their food - if your Supertunia® are planted in the ground, they will need less fertilizer than if they are planted in a container. Keep your fertilizing consistent like you do with the water.
