The play won a host of awards, including two Off West End Theatre Awards, The Stage Award for Best Solo Performer and the Critics' Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright. The play follows closely the plot of the first series of the TV show and features different characters that don’t appear in the TV series. Originally screened in cinemas in 2019, Fleabag was our best- selling production ever at the time of release, making over £4.4m at the box office! Phoebe-Waller Bridge has publicly stated she will never perform the show again, meaning National Theatre Live is now the only way to watch this play.
