It’s an honor to witness our couples get married, but it makes it even more special when they incorporate intimate details into the decor.

Neither Jared nor Kelsey’s father would be able to attend the wedding in person, but rather in spirit ❤️

To honor their dads, they placed their pairs of cowboy boots at the start of the ceremony aisle, ensuring their fathers would be walking with them on the biggest day of their lives.

Want to know a secret?

Your wedding day will not be “perfect.”

We haven’t seen a single wedding where at least one thing didn’t go wrong.

Bridal party running late, weather not cooperating, dress bustle broke or guests forgetting to take home those wedding favors you spent hours crafting.
The list could go on and on.

There are simply too many details and too tight of a timeline for everything to be completely perfect.

AND THAT IS OKAY 👏🏼

Because what makes your wedding day unforgettable, unique and special are those imperfect moments.

“I don’t even know where to start with this team!! There are so many good things to say, I could go on forever.

From the first time I did a discovery call with Holly, I knew she was going to be my planner. I bounced ideas off her, she gave me so much good advice, and made me think about so many things I wouldn’t have thought about otherwise. Our wedding took place at two locations, which was the hardest part for me in terms of planning. She was able to help coordinate with vendors and timing perfectly, and I genuinely had the best, worry free day, of my life. I wasn’t stoked on my venues, and due to budget I feel like we had to settle on some things, but because of her I wouldn’t have changed a thing. She made my vision come to life and I would do anything to relive that perfect day.

The week of the wedding was the craziest week since we were coming from out of town, and there was the chance of rain on our wedding day. She was able to provide so much support and advice for me when I was freaking out because of weather. The amount of times I called her with questions, and just concerns that week was so obnoxious, but she answered every call and spent so much time just listening to me and validating me. She helped us make a whole new timeline two days before the wedding so that we had a plan for the rain, which I ended up loving so much more than our original plan, and we actually went with that timeline even though our day ended up to be sunny and 75 degrees.

One of the best parts about having Holly be our planner was just the amount of validation and support she provided in terms of just being on my side. Having someone who cares about just you, just your wants, and advocates for you was so meaningful. With wedding planning so many other people’s opinions and ideas can sometimes get in the way of what you want. Holly was always there to be the middle man for me, take the heat from vendors, communicate my wants to my vendors over and over again when things weren’t exactly what I wanted, and even MONTHS after my wedding she’s still doing that with some final loose ends.

She genuinely cares about her brides and became such a good friend, and I cannot say enough good things about her and her whole team. There’s so much more to share, and for any brides who are on the fence about hiring her, ask her for my number and I’ll give you all the reasons why Holly Diffin Events is MUST!”

Just some dreamy pomegranate inspo for your feed this evening…😍

We are so proud and head over heels in LOVE with how this design came together!

Glenn and Juli (Holly’s parents) renewed their vows after 34 years of marriage on their anniversary: January 6th, 2024.
We had the pleasure of being their full service planners which includes FULL design!

Although the rainy weather forced us to hold our festivities under a tent, it was still as beautiful as ever. 🥺

Using burgundy, ivory and white as our base, we added accents of cobalt blue and gold to make the decor pop!

Olive trees placed at the alter and around the tent made for a bright addition to a rainy event day.
Olive oil bottles rounded out the table setting with a sweet tag displaying the Bible verse from 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 “pressed but not crushed” 🫒

THE. POMEGRANATES. 👏🏼
If you’ve never thought of using fruit as an accent for your florals, take this as your sign! No matter the season!

34 years of life together is significant.
It was important to us that the event design told Glenn and Juli’s story.

We used “Oh the places we’ve been” as the title for their seating chart. Each table assignment used places that are sentimental to Glenn and Juli - much more meaningful than a table number.

The welcome table was full of photos from their wedding day and even displayed their wedding planning binder!

We’ve been in biz for almost 2 years.

What do I love most about being a wedding planner?

EASY ➡️ getting to provide the wedding planning and wedding day experience that everyone deserves through FUN, ORGANIZATION & EDUCATION.

The cherry on top is executing all wedding day plans with our amazing team of assistant coordinators and watching as our couple and their families dance the night away.

I also LOVE the relationships that I get to create with my couples. We spend lots of time together during their wedding planning journey and they mean so much to me!

RAPID FIRE FUN FACTS 🔥

- My birthday is June 4th but my favorite month is not June.
- I was on a game show called Minute To Win It with my siblings when I was 13.
- I could eat chocolate chip cookies with every meal.
- If the 49ers lose a game, you’ll find me in my feels and unable to shake the loss for a solid 3 days. (Maybe more if it’s a playoff loss)
- I have a terrible singing voice
- My hubby and I have one child who has red hair. He’s stinking cute 😆
- I know every Rascal Flatts song by heart and could answer just about any disney trivia question thrown my way
- Favorite drink has to be Dr. Pepper
- I’ll beat you at pickleball, sorry not sorry.
- I could enter a contest for napping and make the podium at minimum.

For the couples who’d like to save their big reveal for the aisle while still getting a moment alone before their ceremony !! 📣

If you’re planning a First Touch on your wedding day, you’re going to want to hit that SAVE button.

DO ✅
over communicate with your photo / video / coordination team about expectations!

DO ✅
allot more time before ceremony to accommodate for this moment especially if travel is necessary. This will mean bridal glam needs to be done sooner!

DO ✅
bring tissues & a love note to read - if you and your fiancé plan on praying together, be prepared for some tears!

DO ✅
pre-determine a location for First Touch with your vendor team and decide if you want this moment to be private or if you’re okay with bridal party and family watching from a distance.

DON’T ❌
have too high of expectations. Give yourselves space to make this moment as organic as possible!

select a location far away from your ceremony site. Keep it within a 5 min radius from your venue!

There’s really no “rule book” when it comes to your ceremony precessional and recessional.

Every wedding is different and every family is different!

While planning your wedding, make sure you’re thinking about WHO you want to be walking down the aisle and in WHAT order.

Sometimes it’s a task to figure out their perfect ceremony precessional!
