I know, fellow traveler, that this is a tough month.
None of them are easy...
Some are rougher than others.
But today I am choosing happy.
If I don't choose happy today...
Happy will not find me.
Happy...
Like Joy...
Is no accident.
Yesterday was a good day.
We were victorious over something.
(I drove the "camper" 17 hours and didn't wreck it!)
We dared to dream.
We dared to hope.
We showed appreciation and even smiled at a stranger or two.
We expected great things...
And we got them.
Today...
Happy.
Whatever your "happy" looks like...
Think on it.
I’m remembering my time with Johnny on “Stagecoach” and…
As much as I miss Johnny…
I know where he is.
I know he’s happy and healthy and with June.
And I know I’ll play music and laugh with him again someday.
And…
This memory makes me…
Happy...
Not sad.
Share with someone today that you are working on your happy and see if that doesn't make them smile.
A lot happens in your soul when you smile.
A lot changes in your spirit when you laugh.
I'm not going to let this month tell me what to do.
I'm going to tell it...
Starting today...
That John is working on his happy.
