Dhrishti was established in Chicago, IL in June 2001 by Shebani and Madan Kulkarni to present creative theme based events incorporating music, performing arts, fine arts and literature. Thirteen years and over 170 presentations later, Dhrishti has gained a reputation for its artistic and professionally presented events. ance, which are then presented in a unique format to patrons of art and culture. Events by Dhrishti have been unique, wherein artistes from around the world have collaborated with South Asian artistes to present a variety of themes with harmony and grace.

Shebani and Madan firmly believe that India has the spiritual wisdom in the older and experienced generation, and abundance of talent in the new generation, especially in towns and villages. If these two forces are brought together, India has the potential to be a torch- bearer for the new world through its spirituality, which it reflects through its art and culture.
