Roseland/Caldwell VFW Post 2619 is proud to partner with 22 Mohawks and Brookline Lab Rescue. We are looking to partner up the right Lab with the right Veteran. Please visit the Mohawks link below. There are many of these sweet Labs that need homes. There are many Veterans out there whose lives will be enriched considerably by adopting one at no cost to the Veteran. Please think about it and refer any Veteran interested.

Last week VFW 2619 replaced a casket flag in an engraved case for Kevin Andersen of W.Caldwell. It belonged to his grandfather Anskar Andersen who served in WW2 and it was lost in a devastating house fire. He was also given a $500 donation.

This Saturday VFW 2619 delivered 69 toys collected to Toys for Tots. Thank you to all who donated.

Thursday night VFW 2619 held a bar night fundraiser for America's Vet Dogs. They train and pair up service dogs for Veterans diagnosed with PTSD. 17 -22 American Veterans are lost to su***de everyday. Studies have shown that the numbers drop significantly with Veterans paired up with a service dog. It was a small turnout due to the stormy weather. Thank you to those who did come out. The bar raised $750. VFW 2619 matched it and mailed a check out for $1,500

A $500 donation was made to the James Caldwell High Patriot Service Award Scholarship Fund. It will go to the seniors of the class of 2022 who have enlisted in our military. We are proud of your commitment and wish you well. Thank You!

Many items were collected to be shipped to Ukraine. Everything will go to Holy Ascension Cathedral in Clifton who is overseeing this drive. In addition we also recently donated $600 to Project Hope for Ukraine humanitarian aid. Pray for peace and may freedom prevail.

VFW Post 2619 will be holding a humanitarian item drive to be sent to Ukraine. Please go on the website of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church in Clifton to see what items are needed. We will be collecting on Thursday 3/24 from 7:30-10:00 pm. Please send all financial donations directly to the church.

$600 was donated today to Project Hope for humanitarian assistance to war torn Ukraine. Thank you to those who supported our band night fundraiser Friday night for this cause. Remember freedom is NEVER free! Please support our Veterans and our active duty military. They always were and still are defenders of our freedom!

This Friday March 4th, Roseland/Caldwell VFW Post 2619 is proud to host talented Veteran musician Jeff Ge**er. He plays a mix of rock, oldies and country. Doors open at 7:00 and Jeff plays at 8:30. $5 cover charge. All proceeds from the night minus operating costs for the night will be donated to Project Hope. They are providing humanitarian assistance to war torn Ukraine. They are a credible non profit where 87% of donations received go towards the cause. We Ametican Veterans of VFW 2619 stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian military and the people. May God Bless them and may they prevail. Freedom is never free!

Last week a $500 donation was made to our comrades at Lambertville VFW Post 9656. Their building was destroyed by Ida's flood waters. Insurance payout won't cover the total cost to rebuild. We wish our comrades well and to persevere.
