TIME TO BRAG about the GR CREW!

When guests arrive they don't realize what has been happening to prepare the venue behind the scenes. An outdoor venue looks so GORGEOUS but it is NOT easy to maintain!

ESPECIALLY when your commercial cleaning crew fails to show up a 5 am to clean the pavilion, bathrooms and cocktail barn which is a two hour job for 3 people (think power washers, blowers, 200 chairs, 30 tables, toilets...etc).

You probably didn't know that from 7-9 am our GR CREW then makes the venue SHINE...from the Bridal Home (inside and out), the Speakeasy and all of the spaces including fire pits, chairs, benches and physical grounds...they do a LOT to prepare the entire venue for when guests arrive at 9 am...to a venue that looks like it has never been used.

TODAY!!!! I gotta BRAG because Abby and Calvin texted at 7:15 am to say that the commercial crew did not show up! Needless to say, Joe and I were scrambling!!!!!! We called and texted the cleaning crew and were walking out the door when Abby texted at 8:00 to say...

"We cleaned it ourselves!"

To which I said, "WHAT????"
..and "Calvin raked the crushed granite throughout the venue!"

And they got everything else done so they could seamlessly greet Thane & Allison (shoutout to our wedding couple today) like nothing every happened.

As a newer venue with new staff this year I CANNOT explain how this made me feel! Joe and I did ALL of this ourselves last year because we are so picky and because we couldn't afford staff.

To be in a position where we can afford a crew and save our old BACKS (lol) is AH-mazing....

To trust an ENTIRE VENUE to two amazing people is a whole new level of AMAZING!

I tend to wear my emotions on my sleeve and this morning...my emotions were ALL OVER MY SLEEVE! Literally! LOL!

ABBY and CALVIN you not only deserved your double pay (plus tip; check your phones)...you deserve our respect and appreciation...plus this long old post. LOL
