Every day I see posts from new photographers getting started.
As a photographer, tell signs a potential client is not real.
- 2024 Facebook created account with no or almost no pictures, posts… beside one from within last 2-3 weeks.
- vague answers to your questions
- ask price but don’t discuss/bargain it
- ready for deposit request and contract to be mailed to them straight away
- address of the venue you give does not match the details of the wedding (capacity,…): backyard wedding but cannot host the party size wise. 🙀
- I know when you connect to my website and from which city. If you are in Nigeria when visiting my website, well… lol
Scammers are not smart. Damn.
While you sometime want/need to get the contract, don’t bend backward to everything without making due diligence. Ask questions, details, meet potential clients, check info.
Even if it is not a scam and is real, filter what is risky, not worth it time wise, money wise
I always told my wife, there is a minimum duration, minimum $$value and settings/details where I would not even consider getting out of couch and charging my camera batteries
