Today I want to share with you a throw back event. This was my very first event planning and coordination way back in 2003...the 18th birthday of my cousin. I remember how I was belittled by the caterer and decorator that my auntie and uncle hired for the event when we were preparing for the venue. This CITY gal gave me a head to toe stare when I was giving her?/him? instructions on the set up. Maybe she was thinking, who is she and what does this PROVINCIAL girl know? She was very hesitant to follow my instructions. I just ignored her did my job. At the end of the party, this caterer/ decorator approached me, congratulated me and told me that the event was the best and the most organized party he'd ever attended. And from there, I gained her respect. Up to now, I'm still grateful for the trust and faith that my uncle Vic and auntie Lita gave me to make their only daughter's big event a memorable one. This commenced my drive and passion to event planning.

It's our church wedding anniversary yesterday and I can't help but to look at the details of that very special event of my life. I had planned this even before I had a boyfriend. I had planned every detail except for my . I can't think of a for my until three months before my big day when I saw a picture of an antique wooden chair in our province. I contacted my friend Joy from LA who does clay crafts, told her what I wanted, and here's the finished personalized on our delicious simple but elegant baked for us by our friend Violet.
