My youngest prince has to have his surgery rescheduled 😣👑…. We have been regulars at Texas Children’s Hospital with Thomas here since birth. He’s been through so much testing, and unfortunately one of his kidneys is still not functioning properly. So for the past few months, I’ve been mentally preparing myself for a surgery we had scheduled for this Wednesday to be done robotically (in the hopes that it would prevent renal failure in the future). We got a call today that his surgery would have to be rescheduled. I am so mentally ready for it to be DONE, and for him to be healed up already. Now it feels like we’re back at square one, the robot at TCH has quite the waiting list. My husband reminded me that God’s timing is not ours. So I am trying to just trust the process. We had grandparents lined up to watch our two-year-old, Desmond, as we both were going to spend the night at the hospital with Tom after going under observation postop. It’s frustrating and anxiety-inducing to reschedule everything, but as the saying goes, “We make plans, and God laughs.” It’s a lesson in patience. Making core memories is the job. ✨🧜🏻‍♀️ When I receive messages from moms that their children can’t stop reminiscing about our adventure or are re-watching their personalized video again warms my heart every time. When a client shared a video of her three-year-old calling her time with me as Ariel “the best day ever,” I knew I’d use that audio someday. 💕 Instead of sharing ice queen footage during this cold season, I decided to post warmer memories while sick myself.
