What is the point of The Open Horse Incentive Sidepot???
1 - What is the eligibility?
Any horse of any age enrolled in a barrel horse stallion incentive IS ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL TO TOH.
Simply put, if your horse is not eligible for The NIH, it is eligible for The Open Horse.

2 - Why do we have The Open Horse
When creating the structure for The NIH, there was a lot of discussion about horses that were either in limited incentives or horses that were limited to incentive money because of where they were geographically in relation to the program they were enrolled in. This was a big topic of discussion when we first released NIH.
We knew from the beginning that we wanted The Non Incentive Horses to have a program of their own but we also knew there was a significant need for horses that are in limited incentives or geographically challenged. So... That is why we have The Open Horse.
TOH is the same sidepot structure as the NIH. The 90% payback, simple sidepots, added money sidepots, etc.
TOH gives horses more opportunities to win superb money long after their futurity and derby years across the country and at all levels of events.

P.S. - NIH Enrolled horses can dual enroll into TOH for a discounted $100. They are then eligible to enter NIH & TOH sidepots at events.
