About last week .... ✨The Utah Governor's Gala was a spectacular event, and it wouldn't have been possible without my amazing team of talented, hardworking women from .design. In true fashion, they were dedicated, passionate, and determined to make this the best event ever. And I think we delivered! I'm sincerely grateful for their dedication. I’ve been working with an incredible team to bring to life this awesome event and initiative. This event truly feels full circle for me. My cousin and I coached and played on a unified Volleyball team in high school. I fell in love with the program and athletes then, and I love that I get the opportunity to help provide this experience years later. 💕

⚽ Come join us at Rio Tinto Stadium on Oct 9th to cheer on student athletes of all abilities at the Special Olympics UT High School Unified Soccer Tournament. ⚽

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! 🙌 🙌 Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your neighbors! We have bouncy houses, food trucks, mascots, helicopter, DJs and more!

I love this photo from last month’s 1st Lady, event. It is so simple.

And yet the reason I love it so much is because the level of detail and planning that went into creating it. Here’s an idea for you... The step & repeat was designed by , printed by , and built by and .Lehnardt. The concept and the ex*****on of the florals by .stems and . The heart logo detail on the lecturn was printed by Fast Signs. The mic by was switched out multiple times to get the best fit. And, that podium... iykyk. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m so grateful for Sarah who came in for the win! Lastly, the beautiful photography by . So many people and so much work to create such a stunningly simple set up. It’s a huge part of why I love my job. 💕

Together with a talented team of women, I planned and executed an event for Utah's First Lady, . She launched her new initiative, . This initiative is a rallying cry to Utahns everywhere to reach out wherever and however they can to build caring communities that Show Up with empathy and understanding.

In addition to the launch of her initiatives, event attendees to assemble 1500 kits for foster and relative families. Hundreds of businesses and organizations donated thousands of items, coupons, and experiences to be gifted to these families. ..
Additionally, dozens of vendors and service providers to create an incredible experience at yesterday's event!

🍴One of the many adjustments I made to this specific event was the process for serving food to our guests. I came up with a couple solutions that made a big difference...
* We provided optional entertainment and barn tours one hour before the event started to stagger guest arrival times and avoid waiting in lines.
* I offered taco options to quickly accommodate all food sensitivities.
* I carefully thought through our serving lines and placement to ensure the best flow of traffic.
Brady from was so flexible and easy work with. ...even as I told him I needed him to find and provide eco-friendly serveware. (I can be so high maintenance sometimes.)☺️

For my daughter's 4th birthday I threw her the cutest rainbow pool party. It was colorful, happy, and a perfect theme for a summer birthday. ⁠

She insisted on adding her Dr. Suess Truffula trees to the cake. And, while I may not have chosen that on my own, I love the personal touch she adds to all our family celebrations. ⁠

Pro-Tip⁠
😖 Don't let your 4 year old mix the purple coloring in a glass bowl. You may end up with bright purple batter and shards of glass all over your kitchen floor. Rest assured no one was injured.⁠

Rainbow Cake:⁠
✨ Make a double batch of your favorite white cake recipe.⁠
✨ Separate the batter equally into different bowls.⁠
✨ Add neon food coloring to the batter. ⁠
✨ Bake, cool, and level the cakes. ⁠
✨ Remove the top browned layer that forms while baking from each cake. ⁠
✨ Make a double batch of your favorite white or cream cheese frosting.⁠
✨ Once cooled, layer the cakes while alternating with frosting. ⁠
✨ Use the excess cake crumbs for "sprinkles".⁠
⁠
Rainbow Daisies⁠
✨ Buy 2 dozen white daisies⁠
✨ Fill your vase with clear water. Mason jars are usually my go-to.⁠
✨ Mix in neon food coloring for the brightest coloring⁠.
✨ Cut the steams of your daisies and place them into the colored water⁠
✨ Let them soak overnight. ⁠

In February I found this rustic style backdrop from to stage the Int'l Conference. Working with them was an absolute dream – talented woodworkers, professional and approachable. They took care of the entire setup and strike. And...Luke may have saved me from being stuck in the basement of the Lexington Convention Center unable to open the freight elevator at 10:30pm. 😳😅⁠

💡Staging Corporate Events: Planners need to have a good grasp of theme, function, venue, spacing, purpose, and budget. Talk to your convention center/venue to see what's in stock. If budget allows, research outside vendors to help bring your vision to life.⁠

💡At-Home Staging Tip: Spreading out over large areas can make decor feel sparse. ⁠Pick one or two focal points to decorate and/or highlight. Choose the cake table, kitchen island, or entry way to stage. ⁠

I love birthdays! 🤗 And, well ... since I can't celebrate my family as I normally would, I decided we'd have a Camp "In" party (social distancing style) for my son. It turned out so cute! ⁠

The photo booth was a huge success at our February conference. I was looking for a good quality, affordable, photo booth that was aligned with our sustainability goals of limiting waste. And, was a perfect fit! They shipped the device, provided awesome customer service, digital delivered all the photos, and made it super easy to ship back.

It's been a little over a week since the – an event hosted by to gather together (in-person) their incredibly engaged online community. We brought on some awesome , ate some delicious food, heard from some amazing , and had a really fun time!⁠

I had so much fun executing this event for my amazing clients & . The process of working with them was clear, creative, and really enjoyable. I'm proud of the final product I was able to deliver for them and so incredibly grateful for my team who showed up in all the ways. ⁠
