Howdy Folks! I've been volunteering as an organizer of the Friends of Rapids Music Festival, an annual celebration at Robinson Park in Wisconsin Rapids. The festival is free to all, and will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20 from noon to 9 PM. Food and drinks will be available on site. There are activities for the kids, so bring your whole family! The FRM Fest will be held rain or shine. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on!

Dear Friends, I'm a volunteer for the Friends of Rapids Music, helping to organize their annual FRM Music Fest. It's a free music fest at Robinson Park, Wisconsin Rapids on September 20, 2025. Several central Wisconsin bands will perform between noon and 10 PM, representing rock 'n' roll, country rock, jazz, blues, folk, and polka music styles. It's a rain or shine concert. All you need to bring is a lawn chair and yourselves! Join in the free celebration! More information in the comments.

Anybody for Jaaaaaackpine! I'll be on the show Saturday afternoon with Art Stevenson & The Foragers - Stef Lee, Dale Reichert, Susan Cronick, and Chris Silver, throwing down solid bluegrass music at the 2025 Jackpine Jamboree. Then on Sunday morning I'll appear with the New Hope Hay Balers for a Gospel sing! Throughout the weekend I'll be helping Jimer Soukup with stage announcements - shouting the bands and firing up the audience! The weather outlook is fair. Are you ready for Jaaaaackpine......!

Art Stevenson & High Water send a big Thank You to all who attended the 16th Annual Bluegrass In The Pines Festival at the Portage County Fair Grounds - Rosholt, WI last weekend! The weather was fine and everyone had a great time at the show and around the fairgrounds. There were so many smiling faces! The featured bands brought their outstanding music and energy to the main stage, and the Saturday workshops were well-attended. Our staff of volunteers worked tirelessly at the ticket gate, driving the golf cart shuttles, and with setup and take-down of the stage. I'd like to especially thank Chris Martin and the Rosholt Fair Association for welcoming us with open arms and for being such gracious hosts. Chris is the most energetic person I know, and he worked around the clock as the host of Rosholt Fair Park. The fair grounds have been home to Bluegrass In The Pines for 16 years and we hope to be there for many, many more. The 17th Annual Bluegrass In The Pines Festival is planned for Aug. 27, 28, and 29, 2026! Thanks for being a part of the best weekend of the summer - we'll see you all at next year's Bluegrass In The Pines!

We've had frequent inquiries about camping at Bluegrass In The Pines. There is a large area east of the hill and baseball diamond open to first come, first serve camping. There are electrical sites around and to the east of the buildings, and even more space on the grassy fields for folks who don't need utilities. Just pick out your camping spot after you purchase admission wristbands at the ticket gate, and pay for camping at the red building on top of the hill! It's as simple as that. Saturday workshop schedule at the 16th Annual Bluegrass In The Pines Festival! Workshops are free with admission to the festival. Instrument workshops are instructional. You're invited to bring your musical instrument, or just show up and ask questions! The song swap and jam is open to musicians of all levels.

Well, this ain't a bad way to wrap up the year - a record review in Bluegrass Today, of Bluegrass Harmonica! https://bluegrasstoday.com/bluegrass-harmonica-art.../ I'm flattered and grateful for this album review, and for its appearance in Bluegrass Today, which I've enjoyed reading for years. My guitar-pickin' pal Sam Pankratz, who plays on Bluegrass Harmonica, was the first in our circle to notice and share the article. I have a lot of things to be grateful for, especially the musicians who contributed their amazing talents, and for Hank Edenborn and White Oak Records for releasing the project. And for all the folks who support good roots music by coming to the shows and cheering us on!
