The Roswell Adult Learning Center offers technology focused classes in the computer room at the Adult Recreation Center (ARC) in Roswell Recreation and Park's Grimes Bridge Park, located at 830 Grimes Bridge Road. All classes are taught by seniors and the intended audience is other seniors. Most classes are one-day (two hours) but longer topics are also offered.

From Computer Basics to the various functions of Word and Excel; Cloud based topics and software; Some internet functions; and even iPads - a variety of topics are available each Fall, Winter, and Spring. More information can be found online at www.roswellalc.org or through printed materials available at the ARC. Come join us!

We welcome all students and also those who are interested in helping out with classes or even teaching!

This summer, we invite you join all the fun at the Adult Recreation Center! The facility and staff at the ARC provide unique trips, special events and countless classes designed specifically for you. From line dancing, to art classes, and banquets, health and wellness classes and more, the classes are help build community among our active adults. (We have virtual classes as well.)

The Roswell Adult learning center will not be able to hold computer classes for the winter 2021 quarter. The effect of the Corona virus has taken a tool on the RALC. Not enough students have signed up and the teacher are worried about teaching. Unfortunately two very active volunteers/teachers have died in the last two months (not due to the virus). Teachers and students do not want to expose them self, so it is hope you all understand when a class is cancelled. Thank you for your interest in the Roswell adult learning center. We will try again to hold classes in the Spring of 2021.

Hopefully, the Roswell Adult learning center will be able to hold computer classes for the winter 2021 quarter. While the effect of the Corona virus is not known at this time, classes will-be held if enough students sign up and the instructors are willing to teach. The Roswell Adult Learning Center is located in the Roswell Adult Recreation Center, 830 Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell, GA 30075

1. The Learning Center provides a place where seniors can enroll in computer classes taught by their peers. If you want to improve your computer skills, this is the place for you. The lessons are designed to allow older adults to learn at their own pace
2. Volunteer instructors and coaches provide plenty of time and assistance to ensure that all tasks are completed.
3. Computer classes are typically two hours long, and most courses consist of a weekly class over an eight week period or a one day 2 hour class. The eight week class cost $45 while the one day class cost $15.
4. Join us for our Winter 2020 quarter and enjoy learning skills like Windows 10,
Excel, e-bay, photo editing, Microsoft Word, internet & e-mail, and many more with other older adults.

