NEXT UP: 📸 OBRIST IMAGERY //

Looking for that epic shot: Craig & Unchong Obrist want to take you on your next adventure.
•
Born out of the Facebook Boom of the early 2000s and every parent’s desire to capture memories of their kids, Obrist Imagery has been a labor of love. Husband- and-wife team Craig and Unchong met working at their local church, where Craig was doing videography at the time. That led to a photography hobby on the side, which soon became clear to both of them was a solid career choice. 16 years later, they still work together, and they haven’t looked back, building their brand one styled shoot at a time. They’ve always said that the day they don’t cry at a wedding is the day they’ll retire, but it doesn’t look like they’re stopping any time soon.

For weddings, Obrist Imagery’s style is elegant and sophisticated, but Craig & Unchong are known just as much for their adventurous and experimental shots as they are the timeless classics. They often experiment with different lights and elements in their photos, creating stunning memories for their clients. But their favorite moment to capture is the groom looking at his bride as she first walks down the aisle (cliché, but priceless)! Outside of weddings, other offerings include product photography, headshots, branding, and commercial shoots.

Couples who can appreciate the art of photography are Craig & Unchong’s ideal clients, but it’s always a bonus for them if the couple is willing to be adventurous and do whatever it takes to get the shot. Whether at the feet of a waterfall or atop a mountain peak, these are the shots they live for. This sense of adventure is evident in their online presence, where you can frequently see them hiking, camping, or traveling with their kids (who are more than willing models). They’ve visited (and photographed) the world over, but when pressed, their fave destinations are Yosemite and Vienna. In the Atlanta area, they love shooting at Chateau Elan, The Biltmore, the Tate House, and of course, Ivy Hall & Roswell Mill Club.

When working with Obrist Imagery, you can expect nothing but the best in terms of quality, professionalism, technical skill, and knowledge; theirs is a portfolio that’s constantly evolving (they have creative meetings on a weekly basis to stay up to date on current industry trends). When asked about what advice they’d give to clients looking for that perfect photographer, they say this: “Know how to properly budget your wedding. Everyone has different priorities, but it is heartbreaking when couples sometimes don’t know how to adjust their budget to make the photography they want happen.” They also go on to stress that clients should seriously consider adding a physical album to their photography package, as it “completes your story and becomes your family heirloom!” Couples – include this in your budget! You won’t regret it.

While fall of 2024 is already pretty full, Obrist Imagery is currently accepting bookings for the next two years. They are definitely one of our most sought-after photography teams in the Atlanta area, and are a vendor booking you will value long after your celebration concludes.
