I am excited to use my skills and knowledge to teach you how to live a more organized, life! Bio: Ty Edwards and All Things in Place
When friends, family, and co-workers need assistance with their organizing needs, Ty Edwards is the person whose help is often enlisted! Whether it is to help organize a kitchen, facilitate a move, or to oversee a wedding or special event as the Day-of Director, f
riends know Ty’s commitment to organization and detail is unsurpassed! It wasn’t until her pastor told her to consider pursuing a career on professional organizing that she even allowed herself to believe she could actually get paid for doing something she loved! While mentoring with another organizer for almost a year, she began the necessary steps to start a business, and in April, 2007, All Things in Place was born! Although organizing is Ty’s passion, her knowledge, skills, and abilities, and most importantly, her confidence as an organizer comes from other work and volunteer experience:
• As an ex-military wife and being involved in both, overseas and stateside moves, Ty learned how to organize stress-free moves, even with a young toddler underfoot! Additionally, she discovered she was able to make the most out of minimal spaces, a common problem for Americans living overseas!
• 13 years as a volunteer with the Girl Scouts offered her opportunities to utilize skills of organization. As troop leader, not only did Ty planned weekly troop meetings and activities; but she also planned and organized three meetings with troop parents a year, field trips (day and out-of-town), camping trips, fundraisers, and service unit social events. She kept detailed records on each girl’s individual accomplishments. These activities and events all took place while she worked full-time and attended school part-time!
• 34 years of federal service with three agencies as an administrative assistant and most recently as a Program and Management Analyst, taught Ty how to manage and maintain continuity within an office. Additionally, by working on various committees, she continuously earned opportunities to sharpen her skills as a planner for fundraisers and morale booster events!
• Graduating from Bishop Hogan High School in 1981, Ty was not able to attend college right away, so she entered the workforce. Marriage and a young child forced her to delay her decision to go back school a while longer. But by 1995, while still working full-time, Ty made the commitment to return to school, going evenings and weekends to complete her degree. in Communication Arts: Human Relations from Park University, in Parkville, MO.
• Serious about her Christian walk, Ty is also very involved at her church, Christ Temple North, in Gladstone, MO. She serves as a minister’s wife, sings on the praise team, and teaches a pre-school class. When her church partnered with a local elementary school to begin a backpack program, Ty lent her skills of organization to start the church pantry, organize it, and maintained and developed an inventory system until a permanent replacement was selected. Additionally, Ty organizes an annual cookout for the entire church, at the end of the summer!
• Remarried in 2000 to Wesley Edwards, together, they have four adult children and seven grandchildren! When Ty is not working, she enjoys reading, watching TV, or surfing the Internet. With her husband, they enjoy going to the movies and attending college and professional football games! Additionally, she serves as a photographer’s assistant to her husband’s business, Transitions Photography!
• In 2008, Ty recently added certified event planner to her list of accomplishments and her long-term goal is to own an event space.
• In 2020, Ty relocated to the Round Rock, Texas and looks forwards to re-establishing her business and helping clients live more organized!
