Get ready for Jingle in July - A Summer Celebration! We are excited about this new event to celebrate with you all and our Uptown Roxboro businesses and have some summer fun together! We have a lot of things planned for kids of ALL ages! There will be bubbles and more bubbles (I mean, snow would be great but it's the next best thing), co****le, hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, DJ Robin Perkins will be keeping the music going, and lots of fun specials and promotions from our Uptown businesses! Please plan to bring the family, tell your friends, and join us on July 30th in Uptown Roxboro!

Where to even begin to say thank you to everyone for supporting the parade today? From Larry Cole and Furniture Mart to the Uptown Roxboro Volunteers, the City of Roxboro, Roxboro Fire Department, Roxboro Police Department, and all of the parade participants and spectators - thank you all for helping make the magic happen once again! It truly takes a village to pull off these events for the community and we are proud to be part of it! Happy 4th of July. Have a safe and relaxing holiday weekend!

Here's the scoop so far on who will be open on July 4th during the parade and afterwards! Be sure to stop and visit the Uptown businesses who are waiting to serve you!

Reminder - the parade starts at 10am and travels along Main Street from Morehead St. to Gordon St. and there will be no on-street parking available in that area. All other public parking will be open for the parade.

If you are participating in the parade on Friday morning, make sure you let your patriotic spirit shine as we will be giving out these 4 awards! Get those bragging rights for 2025!
Reminder parade lineup starts at 9am and the parade starts at 10am. There will be NO ON STREET PARKING along Main Street between Morehead Street and Gordon Street on Friday morning. Towing will be enforced if needed.

We will re-post this next week, but we want to make sure everyone is aware of the street closures next Friday morning, July 4th for the Independence Day Parade that will take place at 10am.
There will be no on-street parking available along Main Street between Reams/Depot and Gordon Streets. Main Street in this area will close by 9am on Friday July 4th and will re-open after the parade concludes. Morehead Street will be closed from Madison Blvd to Main Street during this same time frame for the parade lineup.

We hope to see you at the parade which starts at 10am.. Like last year, we have some giveaways for the kiddos of all ages that will be handed out along the parade route. Please bring your water, your sunscreen, and your patrioic spirit and meet us Uptown next Friday morning for the parade.

This is the week to get those parade applications submitted so you can participate in the Independence Day Parade on July 4th at 10am in Uptown Roxboro! You can still get those at City Hall, Furniture Mart, or by emailing [email protected]
You must submit in application to be in the parade - whether you are driving, walking, or riding a bicycle.
