We are excited about our Cruise-In event this SATURDAY, May 10th, from 2-6pm in Uptown Roxboro on a new day/time! This time we will be featuring Sunday Afternoon Beach Party with John Williford so that means we will be having a LIVE radio show taking place at the Cruise-in!! We hope you are looking forward to this as much as we are. We will also have our 50/50 raffle, door prizes, giveaways and The Subs Factory truck will be here starting at 4pm!

We are excited about our Cruise-In event this SATURDAY, May 10th, from 2-6pm in Uptown Roxboro. This time we will be featuring
Butcher's Daughter Market & Deli , 1792 Beer Co. , Savannah Jack's Cafe , Cry Freedom Missions Roxboro , Russell's Ltd Boutique ,(open 10-4), Schewels Home , An Artisan's Emporium (open until 3pm), Black Creek Brewery (opens at 4pm)

As always for the Cruise-Ins we will have street closures for this event: Main Street will be closed from Reams to Morgan, and Court Street and Abbitt Street will be closed as well between 1-6:30. Please do not leave cars parked on the street prior to this event start time as towing will be enforced.

We can't wait to see you all tomorrow at the Cruise-In! Please be mindful of not parking in the on-street parking in the street closure area. There is a lot happening tomorrow with the dance recital and the Cruise-in both starting at 2pm. There is plenty of public parking for both events and we suggest that Cruise-In attendees try to park on the South end of Main Street and dance recital attendees try to park on the North end. We will all be enjoying our beautiful Uptown Roxboro!

Our Story

Uptown Roxboro Group (formerly Roxboro Development Group) is a non-profit responsible for helping the area develop and thrive. RDG has been a member of the North Carolina Main Street Program since 1995 and follows the Main Street approach to economic sustainability by working on developing community partners and resources, design asset development through economic reuse and programming. The N.C. Main Street program assists selected communities across the state in restoring economic vitality to their historic downtowns. Using a comprehensive downtown revitalization process developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Main Street encourages economic development within the context of historic preservation.

In the Spring of 2017, RDG began a branding initiative including research in the community and in comepeting communities. During the course of the branding reseearch, it became obvious there was confusion with the interchangeable names (Uptown Roxboro Development Group, Roxboro Development Group, Historic Roxboro). The new name effective 2018- Uptown Roxboro Group- is a more accurate reflection of the area and activiteis the group manages.

Uptown Roxboro is developing the art in living. The area has a cozy, urban feel but small town accessibility and safety. It is full of unexpected surprises for a town of it’s size. Farm-to-fork dining and other great family-friendly restaurants, a craft brewery, colorful murals, a thriving arts scene and theater and shopping opportunities from thrift to gift.
