Hi, I’m Haley Makay — owner, & lead wedding planner and coordinator at HaleyMakayEvents. ✨

With so many new faces here, I wanted to share a bit about me and where it all began for HaleyMakayEvents.

Confession time…my name is actually Haley Woodcock but my middle name is Makay.

I have been married to my best friend for 6 years but our beautiful love story actually started when I was 15! I know, a little crazy but he’s truly is the most incredible guy ever and best dad to our little dog.

In 2022, I decided to fully pursue HaleyMakayEvents. I chose the wedding world because I believe in the magic. You always hear that your wedding day is “the best day of your life” but I believe it’s just the beginning of the best part of life. Marriage is truly such a special gift. To have someone to carry the weight of this crazy thing we call life through the thick and thin, it’s truly a gift.

The BEST part of my job is every wedding I get to be reminded of the beauty of marriage. The joy of two joining together. While also being reminded why I need to apologize to my husband for yelling at him because that morning I needed help packing my car and he was taking his sweet ol time coming to help (this happens way to often & I need to be better🤪).

Fast forward to now, I’m so grateful to be apart of my couples’ love stories alongside my team of wedding planners & coordinators. We are based in Metro Detroit but so excited to travel wherever your love takes us. We are here to help bring peace and comfort during this exciting season of life. Booking couples for 2024-2025. 💌
