An amazing organization with amazing leadership!

I apologize in advance for the long post, but this is information, Everyone needs to know.  I have felt a tug on my heartstrings recently that needed to be addressed. I wanted to make sure that Boaters helping Boaters, continues at Indian Lake for many generations, and because of that some changes have to be made.  Today our board of directors accepted my resignation and at my suggestion, named Tim Barrett as my replacement. You may know him as Jolly Roger, on Facebook.  First and foremost if you take nothing else from this post, remember this. I am not going anywhere! They have created a place on the board for me to stay on and Tim and I will be working side-by-side this entire year while he gets his feet wet. (Pardon the pun) . Tim has the same passion and desire as myself and will do an excellent job. Some of the rest of us will have to step up and help out during this transition, but I 100% believe and expect it to be business as usual as the season gets ready to open up again.  Please treat Tim with the same respect and dignity that you have done to me over these last five years. He will need all the help he can get to get comfortable in this new role !!

This change is absolutely necessary to ensure that boaters helping boaters will continue at Indian Lake. As I wrap this up, I can’t help but to think back on all the great new friendships I have made in this position. Some of these friendships have extended into my social life, and I am thrilled and blessed by all these new friendships.  Renewal emails for membership will be going out very soon this week and I am excited to see what the 2025 season has been store for all of us. See you at the boat show. ⚓️🚤⛵️🇺🇸👍😊

We are excited to introduce the Bloom Box coming spring of ‘25! There will be pull in parking and a short walk to the the Bloom Box where you can find fresh flowers, unique arrangements, and other gifts from the garden. Stay tuned!

Congrats to my cousin Tim!

Congratulations to Tim Goodwin, his staff, and the Marion Local Flyers on capturing the 2024 D7 State Football title. It is the program’s 15th state football title and the MAC’s 43rd football title and 149th overall state title!
