Continuing our introductions we have Charles Cromwell.
Charles is a Heartist who was born and raised in Dover Arkansas. He has a Bachelor's degree in Geology and keeps a variety of pet rocks that he takes care of with his extensive knowledge of sciencey facts as well as his creative know how. Charles's creative ventures include: line art ( with 2 published coloring books), prop making, and the beginnings of work in animation. Other artistic ventures he participates in are theatrics and world building in the magical world of Dungeons and Dragons! He hosts drawing classes and D&D here at The HeARTh every other Saturday with THIS Saturday being the weekend it's happening again! His goals in the realm of art are to show the magic of other cultures and mythology to the world with his knowledge and copious amounts of research. Charles has dedicated himself to uncovering information on cryptids and other mythos he finds to interest him and creating art from that. He has published two coloring books from this already and is already working on many other projects - including co-writing a musical set to debut HERE! Outside of the artworld his goals are to experience the joys and wonders of life through travel. In his freetime he builds cosplays and attends anime conventions as well as spending time with his furbaby Trinket.

Your HeARTians have been hard at working bringing order to the chaos that is ALL the community donations of art supplies!

We are ECSTATIC to announce the soft launch of our Supply Share Program! This is our way of making these materials and what we do here SO MUCH MORE ACCESSIBLE to anyone and everyone! A few benefits include:

1. You can come in ON YOUR TIME to do many of the classes and projects independently! For a small fee (ranging from $5 to $20), you can have access to all the materials, printed instructions and (in some cases) a video instruction to aid in your creative journey. We will have a more fleshed out menu to give you a better idea of those offerings next month!

2. If you NEED some crafty item to finish a current WIP but DON'T want to brave the crowds at Wal-mart or the temptations of Hobby Lobby??? Come to the HeARTh! We have an A La Carte menu below to give you an idea of what we have on hand (with more things coming in almost weekly...we will endeavor to keep this list as updated both digitally and in-house as humanly possible)

3. We have small storage drawers for any Breath (which is FREE) member who wishes to jump into a more involved, time consuming piece that they KNOW they won't finish in one go! This encourages members to keep coming back. You never know who you will find at the table each day!

Our HeARTisans all specialize in a variety of mediums, so there's a new brain/knowledge pool to pick through each time you stop by our beloved HeARTh!

We have been asked to assist BOST fill an art teacher job!

From our contact: "We are still looking for a new instructor for our art class in Russellville. Our last instructor needed to retire for medical reasons and the replacement we had lined up, unfortunately fell through. We need someone with experience teaching classes who is willing to work with individuals with disabilities. We do pay our artists/teachers for the classes as well as provide all the materials. We do have background checks and require that the artist carry liability insurance (the cost can be reimbursed by Bost.) If you have anyone who might be interested please have them send a resume over."

Up next for you all to meet- it’s Emily Paige Doss and Nathan Raymond! Emily is a board member and she and Nathan have been volunteering for a while to help us with hours, but we know you will be seeing them more often!

Em’s Oddities is made up of a collaborative couple, Emily Doss and Nathan Raymond. Nathan comes from Ola, AR while Emily is from Bentonville, AR. Emily moved to Russellville in 2016 while Nathan moved here in 2021.
Emily’s work features abstract and surrealist ideas. She works primarily with acrylics and oil pastels, but also dabbles in window painting and clay creations. Her inspirations come from nature, fantasy, and spirituality. She attempts to evoke similar emotions to the works of Dhali and Van Gogh. Her wildest dream is to be able to create art full time and share it with many people.
Nathan’s primary focuses are in pen stippling and early comic making. His inspirations come from religious iconography and nature. His goal with his work is to make the inevitability of death less of a burden. His wildest dream is to become a musical comic.
In their spare time they like to watch artful movies, hike/camp, and spend time with their furbabies. Their family consists of 7 fur children: 4 cats (Bella, Baby, Napkin, and Steven), 1 dog (Styx), and two rats (Shrimpina, and Gumbo).

We thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about them and they look forward to meeting all of you!

Today it’s the other co-founder, Jacqueline Jurcik of Jacqueline of all Trades!

“My name is Jacqueline (Jaxx) Jurcik and I am a multifaceted creator who specializes in acrylic painting. As a child, I loved my art supplies and paint programs. (That OLD paint one, you know the one.) One year I got “Disney’s Magic Artist” and I wore that game (cd) out. I create in every form I can- from modeling, makeup and movement to papers, canvases and clay. I’ve been working with acrylic paint for almost 25 years and it’s my most honed skill.

I am passionate about spreading whimsy and growth through capturing emotion and playing with transmutation -cultivating experiences for my viewers. I am an ex-EMT and firefighter with a bachelor of arts in theater, who weaves my spectrum of life experiences into my works and creations. Over the past seven years, I have primarily been self-employed dedicating myself to building a name in the art world.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, sketching, going on walks, kayaking, Thrifting, and making people laugh. I also love to spend time with my three loving fur children.

I stream on Twitch at Twitch.tv/ceruleanneat, volunteer my time to planning events and organizing admin efforts here at The HeARTh, and plan to grow myself in many forms this year- thanks to this place and the people who’ve shown up. I’ve even hopped into Improv comedy and look forward to bringing more performing arts/entertainment to the Russellville downtown.

It has been my utmost delight, privilege, and passion to bring this place to life for the community that needs it. Watching the life spring back into tired creatives and seeing them grow and flourish has been a joy of my life. It’s my dream that more people see what we are doing here and choose to support this vital piece of community.”

Your co-founders, board of directors and core HeARTisans have been hard at work brainstorming even more ways we can partner with local businesses to help showcase the value of artists. We are developing a "menu" of sorts that have one-of-a-kind offerings from our HeARTisans that they are donating so that we can continue building this beautiful community for Russellville.

Perks include (but are not limited to):
- Custom Mural for your business
- Quarterly advertisement photos with a promo package
- Custom window paint for your business
- Social Media Revamp Session
- Custom acrylic artworks on various canvas sizes

If you know any local business that might benefit from these or who you think would like to support our mission, please send them our way! We will be going out in force in the coming weeks to make face to face connections with anyone who wishes to hear more about what we are building for our funky little community.
