There’s something about Christmas at The Ida Grey that feels like a story you’ve heard before, the kind you want to hear again and again. Evergreen swags drape the upstairs balcony, tied with red velvet ribbons. Wreaths—magnolia, cedar, and spruce—rest on the doors, quiet and elegant, while the lamp posts and garden gate have their own touch of the season. It’s a southern Christmas, simple and timeless, unfolding right here.

Which table would you gather around this Thanksgiving?

If you’re anything like us, you’ve been dreaming about it—the turkey and ham, the dressing, that tangy cranberry and Brussels sprout salad that surprises everyone, and of course, pumpkin pie and ’s buttermilk pecan pie—a family favorite that always disappears first. But the meal is only part of it.

The real magic happens when you set the table—creating a space where your people come together. Stories shared, laughter spilling over, and a pause, however brief, to savor the goodness that anchors us.

We can hardly wait🦃

October, the month we wait for, is finally here.
The apples are piled beside the stove, their crisp sweetness begging to be baked into something warm—maybe an apple tart with a hint of savory, or those cinnamon scones we love to share on slow mornings.
The table is scattered with gourds, each one unique, gathered from nearby farms. And just beyond the kitchen window, the garden is coming alive with spider lilies, their red blooms bursting forth, signaling the gentle turn of the season.
