My business got our Yelp page back!
I closed Fire Pixie Entertainment back in 2020 because you can't run a kid's entertainment company during a pandemic.

I reopened this year in Sacramento, but Yelp refused to let me reopen the business page -- they said I had to make a brand new one. My old page has 128 reviews and 4.7 stars, and starting a new page with zero reviews (while the old page was still listing on google as "closed) was really disheartening. It takes years to build a reputation, and our performers got SO much praise from happy customers.

Well, score one for tenacity. I called again and again and finally found a Yelp agent who would help me. And now .. we've got our reviews back!

This is a small win, but a big one -- trust is SUCH an important part of this business. People want the best for their kids. And it feels so good to go through and read some of the reviews. Such a gift from the past. :)

Guys, we have the BEST Spiderman. He comes to your party ready to fight crime and chase away all the bad guys. He'll do silly magic tricks, juggling, superhero training, games, and whatever it takes to make those kids have a blast at their party (and keep them out of your hair!)

A couple great photos from my show at Dive Bar for the The California Mermaid Convention launch party last Friday night. This was such a fun event, with so many mermaids from all over the world! It was great to see everyone and exciting to get to wear my light up tail and my LED drip dress for the show.

When I was a kid, they rolled out a vaccine for polio. We were given it at school on a sugar cube. I went home and my dad, who was working on Mary Poppins, asked how my day was.

What I didn’t know was that Julie Andrews who was hired to play Mary had not really liked the song my dad and uncle had written -“Through the Eyes of Love” - and it was rejected. It was their favorite song for the movie.

Walt asked the Sherman Brothers to come up with a new song that would be in line with Mary’s //Julie’s philosophy.

Dad asked me how my day was and I told him about getting the polio vaccine at school.

I was known for rejecting the booster shots at my doctors’ office and running away.

He said, “ Didn’t it hurt?”

I told him they put it on a sugar cube and you just ate it.

He stared at me, then went to the phone and called my uncle Dick.

They went back to the office and wrote -“A Spoonful of Sugar” (Helps the Medicine Go Down.”)

It’s my little corner of film music history I suppose. Inadvertently.

For anyone I know here on FB, trust the doctors. When the vaccine for Covid comes out, get it.

We are all dependent on each other in this pandemic. Trust science and doctors and epidemiologists.

We are a small world and we will beat this enemy if we listen to those who know.

Be safe. Wear a mask. Be kind and thoughtful and considerate to your fellow man and woman.

We will beat this.

My hubby and I wrote a song! And he did an amazing job on this video. Grab your karaoke mic and sing along!

Please share! Let's spread the message that Princesses Wear Masks far and wide!! Maybe if we can get all the kids wearing masks, their parents will all follow suit. Let's keep our cities as safe and healthy as we can.

We are sad to announce that Fire Pixie Kid's Entertainment has closed its doors due to the COVID pandemic. We have enjoyed serving the Bay Area's kid's show needs for nearly 20 years, but can not conscience booking shows any more since we just can't put your kids at risk.

Our entertainers miss all of you and your families, but have needed to move on to other endeavors to survive during 2020. We hope you all stay healthy and happy, and are so grateful for your business over the years. We've built a life around making people smile, and will hopefully be able to continue doing so in the future.
