AUDITION FOR RED SHOE PRODUCTIONS
Looking for two Actors to host school assemblies ~ PAID GIG

Sacramento, CA (October 19, 2023) – Red Shoe Productions is looking for actors (one male, one female) to host school assemblies for two of our clients. The assemblies are done in Sacramento, Yolo, and Placer counties. There will be a total of 35 – 40 assemblies between January and May. Rehearsals will be in December for a January start. Assemblies are mostly scheduled for the morning but there could be a few in the afternoon.

We are looking for people with lots of energy and who work well with elementary school-age students. You must have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule.

This is a paid gig, with a flat fee for each assembly.

The assemblies are scripted, interactive and multi-media, but you will need to have improv skills, as you’ll be interacting with children, and anything can happen. The shows are fun yet informative ~ what we call “Infotainment,” focusing on education about “good bugs and bad bugs.” If you’d like to get a feel for the assembly, you can watch a condensed video version with our other two hosts, Webster & Wanda. Things are quiet over here at the moment. We are putting together a video for Sierra College's one-and-only rehearsal/performance of the Picture of Dorian Gray for posterity. So many theaters going dark, so many people trying to find something to channel their creativeness. As a result, we know there will be a lot of great things happening...things to keep our spirits up...things to make us smile in this "waiting" period. My prayers for good spirits to all! :)

Sometimes when I'm in a show, it can be very hard for us to come up with a trailer for the production as well. So I put this little diddy together for last summer's production, which actually will make a great intro for the archive video, don't you think?
